Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 TDCI Induction kit

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am currently looking for an induction kit for my Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 TDCI and am having no luck all I could find were better panel filters. Anyone know where I might find one?

Induction kits dont make any difference to engine performance they just make a horrendous noise - Are you a boy racer?

Indeed some induction kits with oiled surfaces can actually damage your engine according to the experts Ericthecarguy and ScottyKilmer!

Check youtube there are a few videos on it - I was thinking of one for my old Ford but changed my mind when I read that you can cause your engine problems!

Don't bother.  Gives zero performance increase and sounds awful on a diseasel. That's probably why no bugger sells them.

Aside from that, I'm not sure I'd trust the results of any Mythbusters "science" from someone who wears a baseball cap sideways.

Induction kits are literally the biggest waste of money anyway. Cone filters just suck in more dirt and hot air. That's literally all induction kits are; a bit of hose and a cone filter

Why mess with something that Ford's engineers have spent months designing and testing to ensure you get the best performance out of the engine whilst making sure it won't die after 40,000 miles?

Theres a place called NB styling which has an induction for the 1.6 tdci for the mk6 fiesta. Don't know if it's worth it though ad the others say.

There's a company called hdi tuning which specialises on the hdi engines. Basically Peugeot Citroën PSA group designed these diesel engines. The 1.4 and 1.6 TDCI engines are the engines made by them. This company does a stage one remap which ups the power to 115hp and 270nm for just £150. You send your Ecu to them and they do their work. You can tell they know their stuff plus they only specialise on the hdi engines. I really am considering getting this since I saw this. I have the same car and engine as you.

I personally dont care if someone wears a baseball cap its the results that are important!
Someone said Scotty kilmer looks like a Paedo!
There are loads of vids that prove that Induction filters are a waste of time so what is your point?
I built my own Dax Tojeiro and Dutton Phaeton S3 from scratch but would never stick one of those boy racer f@nny addons onto either!

Scotty does make good videos. I love some of his comebacks to some of the negative comments. Mighty car mods are good however I think they might overdo some of their videos like the electric space wizard in their dent removal video. Lol my dad saw that video and thought what is this.

Scotty and Eric are top auto mechanics on Youtube - honest and no b****t
Ed China is pretty good too - shame Mike shafted him!
Just goes to prove what they say about used car salesmen - quite sad actually!

Mightcarmods are Aussies so you gotta gie them some leeway for not being entirely fashionable or mentally stable!
