Ford Silly Design? Or Is Mine Broken?

on my friends ordinery ka style - climate the boot can be opened from the inside with a button, but as soon as the car begins to move, it cannot, this seems normal to me

however on my sportka, the boot will not open from the inside release button, if the engine is running? i have also tried pressing the release on the keyfob with it in the ignition, and this didnt work either, so i have to turn the engine off everytime i want to access the boot?

this seems pretty daft to me, is it a design built in by ford? or has my boot release been re-wired incorrectly?

well the focus has the same set up and i can open it with the engine running havent tried it when im driving though however the warning light on my dash tells me anyway that its open could be wired wrong then again it could be an updated safety feature

06 Fiesta opens when stationery even when engine is running. Trying opening above say 5mph and it doesn't work.

Sounds like it has something wrong as I couldn't imagine going through all that every time I wanted to remove something from the boot
