Ianb
Hi Guys, a friend of mine is looking to 'maybe' install a sub and amp in his van but doesn't know what wiring to get.. (no idea why he asked me!) I looked online and see wiring kits you can get, just wondering if there are any to watch out for or if anyone can suggest any to go for.. Is it best to avoid the cheapest? Or is it only the hardcore sound junkies that could tell the difference?
Ianb
Would something like this be good enough? Need anything else other than the sub and amp afterwards? http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/sound-system-accessories/vibe-slick-8-gauge-amplifier-wiring-kit
GingerFlame
Whatever you do, don't go for cheap Chinese generic kits as the "8" gauge cable will be "12" gauge of low quality copper and the rest insulation. as much as I detest their audio gear, Vibe do some quality sub kits.. Lenny used several during his install. Went with his FOC Halfords discount card in hand and got some great, complicated savings!
