liking the spoiler mate and just got one for mine from ebay just waiting for delivery then will get it sprayed body colour then will fit myself. can you remember how much you paid to have it painted? you can also buy a clear rear brake light for the spoiler then it will tie in better with your rear lights mate

Luckily I managed to find one the same colour so I didn't need it spraying

Hi

just found an old email from a dealership called vospersmotorhouse and they quoted £47.08 +£3.95 postage don't know if this helps?

I managed to find one on eBay for £25 😊

Thanks Daz, my brakelight is on its way so I can get started on the tinting.

Has anybody swapped the bulbs in the 3rd brake lights to leds?

Only the standard 3rd level brake light consists of a number of T10 bulbs.

However the ST and ZetecS 3rd level brake light units are sealed LED can't be opened or changed.

That's saved me a few £ not having to change them over 😉

Lovely job so far.

All I will say is, please do not spoil it by smoking the crap out of the rear lights. I followed a black focus at night recently who had smoked his rear lights so much that I couldn't even tell they were on, until I got right up behind him. Indicators and brake lights were affected the same. Looked ridiculous and god only knows how it looked in the day light (no signal lights at all!).

I'll probably only do a light tint to the fog/reverse and third brake lights anyways.

As I always tell the wife "Don't hate the player hunny; hate the game"

it's an expensive and rewarding hobby, but still not as expensive as doing up a house 😁 i miss the good old days of my build thread.

Luckily my other half kind of understands, and sees what I'm trying to achieve.

I can understand, I spent an astronomical amount when I purchased this house on renovating it. I did swear to myself that I wouldn't mod this car but after joining this forum, I caught the bug again

If you treat yourself at Christmas and birthdays for the big items like new head units seats wheels etc it's no so bad but when you add it all up you can spend a lot. My misses keeps saying you should have saved up for a st in the first place lol

My thoughts exactly, and as I've already said I could be in a pub every night or as soon as I get in from work sat on the sofa doing nothing. Haha but you still would've thrown money at it even if you had got an ST I certainly would've 😉

It was a suggestion that we both use my focus when I purchased it, but after seeing that the inside of my better halfs Clio looked like a bomb had gone off in a biscuit factory I declined that suggestion 😂
