robertmihai717
Hi guys, I have this issue everybody here talks about. "Emergency call system malfunction. service required." Two dealers told me that the entire roof must be dissasambled in order to check the antenna. I heard that this can be fixed with an TCU module update but until now i havn't managed to figure this out yet. I saw here that some on you fixed this by pulling the F11 out and get it back in. Can anyone show me or tell me which one is F11, because on the passanger fusebox i can't find that fuse at all, or maybe its another number on it. Please help! Thank you!
alexp999
This is mine, it's in the manual, worth checking for your VIN/build date in case it's different: https://www.ford.co.uk/support/owner-manuals
robertmihai717
Oh, so it dosent have a 11 on it. F11 its actually 11+12 fuse ? Apparently the automatic one is the same as the manual.

My MK4 DIESEL FOCUS has sometimes the same issue. The cause: Extreme air humidity The cure: Nothing...it stops by itself after a few minutes and some heavy curses... 😅

I had the message 1st time back in January and it just dissapeared like 1 month almost, but now its back and idk what should i do.... Will try F11 as i dont want to leave it to the dealer since they want to break the entire thing for one notification man :))
robertmihai717
F11 did not worked for me at all. Will do a TCU update next week, i've heard that this solved the issue for many people there with this message.

Don MC
Car went to the dealer's with this problem and came back with a new TCU, but still the same problem ("Emergency call malfunction"). Seems Ford is having software problems when coding new hardware to cars. My car isn't the only one with problems at my dealer's. They changed the ABS at the same time and it took them five weeks (!) to get it coded to my vehicle. And they couldn't code the TCU at all.
