Reversing lights and sensors

Featured Replies

Hi guys (and girls). I've had my 2012 focus zetec for about 3 weeks now. Last night when I arrived at the gym I noticed the reversing lights weren't working then I noticed the sensors werent working either. This morning I did the trick with the rear wiper which usually operates when you turn the front wipers on and then put the car into reverse, that too didnt work. Could this be a fuse or is it more likely to be the reversing switch? Is there anything else it could potentially be?

It's my first focus and it has been many years since I even had a ford so I have no idea if this is a common problem, whether it could be anything else or how to start checking to narrow it down 🤔🤔

Have you checked to see if your reverse light is working?

Yes. Definitely not working

Ah, didn't see you say that in the OP.

Does sound like it's the reverse switch then.

Thankyou. I thought that would be it but wasnt sure if there may be something else I was missing 🙂🙂🙂
