I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

The Mondeo is big enough for me to lay flat in the back diagonally with the seats down :D (I'm around 6'2")

I do keep forgetting that it isn't the Focus lol

There appears to a cucumber to lower left of the uppermost apple:laugh:

That's the second fridge, the main one has food in it

like the warm weather has improved my fuel consumption, even allowing for margin of error( mine normally shows 2mpg higher than actual consumption fill up calc)  thats still 60+.

not bad out of focus 1.0

Haha, same thing is true for me, though my MPG has gone up to an astounding 46 MPG on the motorway! ;)

My car drinks fuel in comparison to yours!! Lol

I'm sure there wasn't...  But, I shall have to investigate now!

Finally got the lawns mowed:smile:

I do like picking a more respectable 135g of tomatoes tonight from the Lizzano bush and one solitary (the first from that vine) Yellow Pear tomato

I'm now waiting for a creamy courgette pasta bake to cook, having found a recipe that involved six courgettes at once.  Which temporarily reduced the quantity of courgettes in the fridge: only to almost top it up again with tonight's harvest.  Although technically, I've reduced it by one courgette, cook six: then pick five new ones:unsure:

It could also be a pair of green peppers end to end, or a very long deep green unspeckled unstriped courgette, or a huge unripe Greek Cypriot chili?

nice, yours? late for work tonight? speeding off  from the lights. lol

Yeah that's mine. Picked it up this morning before work but didn't have time to enjoy it fully!

Nice , what's the spec ?

You were still in your old one when I saw you earlier.

It's an ST2. Completely standard (other than the wheels of course). Still have the Titanium, use it for work.

I do like the rapidity that some sellers dispatch their items, despite a weekend being involved, ordered and paid Saturday, estimated delivery Wednesday, was actually delivered Monday morning:smile: The only downside was the excessive packaging, item no bigger than a tin of baked beans, sent in a mini ATX form PC size box, nestled in a mass peanuts and airbags.  It's nor exactly a delicate item either. Although, I suppose if the courier is Mr Butterfinger-Cackhanded it would be beneficial to over do the packaging!

I also like there are now three varieties (out of nine) of tomato that are now ripening, picked 280g last night, mainly dominated by yellow Tumbling Tom:smile:

Sounds to me like the seller had had the same problem (too much packaging incoming), and was off-loading some of the excess on to you. I have been known to do that on occasion!wink.png

(Though my goods out are electronic instruments, bit more delicate, and >£400 each unit, so I do not want them broken! I only do it if I have not got the right size of box.)

I hate expanded polystyrene either as molded shapes, or as worms: It leaves little bits that stick everywhere, and is a pest to get rid of, unless you can foist it off on some unsuspecting customer!ohmy.png

The younger Brandy used to love shredding expended polystyrene pieces into "snow" and then the cats would chase the "snow" all over the house. Where it seemed to find every nook and cranny to settle in.  It's not the easiest of things to vacuum up.

I once made the mistake of leaving an unrestrained Brandy in the car for 10 minutes, with all moulded packing pieces from my new washing machine, upon route to the local recycling.  I returned to car full of snow, some of which she was wearing:ohmy::rolleyes::laugh:

Having said that, I've got quite a selection of intact pieces in the garage on the off-chance it might come in useful.  Such as insulating tomato and cucurbit plants from a late frost, potato and onion drying bases or transporting sculptured cakes to random gifted recipients (cakes gifted to others: not that the recipients are geniuses, necessarily)

I like doing the snorkel delete on the Focus.  I also like that my in law still has his ST170 for sale, so hopefully if I get paid my 20 days holiday at the end of this month, new purchase coming my way

I do like having my first driving lesson in the Focus! I feel much more at ease driving and my instructor seems pleased with my progress. He even put on the magnetic sign on the roof!

Off to Chichester now, should be a nice drive!

I do hope there's a protective film on your roof, at BSM we had those magnetic rooftop mounts & without the film the paintwork was a mess

Nope unfortunately...i have to admit I was a bit surprised when he put it on, but can't exactly say no! I'll look better tomorrow but AFAIK there weren't any marks. I'll polish any out after I've passed (got a few from the L plates too!) One of the many joys of learning to drive...

Driven about 100 miles today without any mishaps (apart near miss with a Fiesta driver on his phone veering into my lane on the Chichester bypass, would've reported him if I had a dash cam).

Counting down until my test now, hurry up 8th September!

I've yet to get the 405 thoroughly cleaned and it still has the "L-plate marks"!

Wow, you got 100 miles with only one idiot-driver experience!?  You're lucky to travel 10 miles in my area without almost being killed by somebody on their phone, half asleep or drunk.

They are a pain aren't they!?

Haha no I had a few more but the Fiesta driver was the worst...could've easily ended in an accident. Makes my blood boil that people think it's OK to be so irresponsible whilst driving!

I do like seeing the turning point in mass tomato ripening unfolding, they're starting to blush in groups rather than individually. I'm still at the stage of picking 250g every night but soon I'll picking kilos and then mulit-kilos of each variety every night. The courgettes are beginning to conquer the fridge (now occupying two shelves:ohmy:)   There are only so many courgette pasta bakes and ratatouilles you can eat in one day:laugh:

Very nice Laurie:smile:

Excellent choice of colour too

You're going to have to start making large batches of spaghetti bolognese, chili con carne (or chili con lentils works for no meat monday..), errrm what else?

I used tinned toms quite a lot in cooking... I'll make a sort of spicy tomato based chicken with olives and spices and rice - kind of a spanishy type dish... patatas bravas is another one.... I also make a chickpea tomato curry thing with lemon, or lime...

Wifey makes a lovely roast tomato and red pepper soup - has vodka and a heck of a lot of lea and perrins in it, highly recommend that for using up toms!
