I sat in the one they had at FordFair. I was amazed at how comfortable it was. Could happily do a good few hours driving in it. In fact, out of the Edge, Mustang, RS and ST, I found it staggering how much more uncomfortable the ST seats were in comparison to the other 3.

But then they are designed to hold you snuggly and secure while hurting here and there.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Oh don't get me wrong, I bet the mustang is luxurious and comfy.... but I guess it all boils down to how easy it is to get in and out of... as you're not going to be sitting in the seat for that long before you need to refill...

It's funny isn't it before I went for the Titanium X I rejected the ST based on its bucket seats, then I gave way to the ST again, this time around I find then really comfortable,  hugging all the way up with the big bolsters, I don't even mind the hard suspension lol

I do like being in Tescos at exactly the time the merchandiser was reducing three packets of lamb hearts to 16p each  instead of £1.60.  That's nine snacks for Brandy at less than the price of half an ear:smile:.

It's no wonder then that brandy was *ahem* tooting....excitement for her (?) New treats

I do like getting the GTX up and running again with the Quasar's Bosch S4, whilst it will have to make do with a Halfords battery!  To be fair, it lacks the alarm/immobiliser the GTX has and starts easier, so out of the two cars it makes sense to put the most powerful (Bosch) in the GTX and the least powerful (Halfords) in the Quasar.  That said, both cars will be treated to brand new batteries next year when I have some spare cash.

I do like a late-night plate of Cullen Skink!  Been years since I last had it. WP_20160816_21_39_47_Pro.jpg

For anybody interested, it is a fish soup that originated from the Moray village of Cullen (only 20 miles away from me) and consists of basically milk and smoked haddock, with salt/pepper and (for me) onions and whatever other vegetables I have lying around in the fridge.

I might try that, if I can get some proper smoked haddock

What are the proportions of milk to haddock to veg?

It purely depends on your taste and what you would prefer.

I forgot to say that another main ingredient is tatties (potatoes).

The basic recipe is:

Ingredients

  • Two fillets of smoked haddock
  • A bowl of tatties
  • Two onions
  • Whatever other vegetables you have/want to add

Method

  • Poach the haddock in milk (we do it in a deep frying pan and enough milk to just cover the fish, but not drown it!)
  • Boil the tatties in water
  • When the tatties are done the fish probably is too, so take both off the heat and cool
  • Mash the tatties then add the fish and milk
  • Fry onions and whatever other vegetables you are adding, then add them to the fish, milk and tatties
  • Simmer for 20-30 minutes to get all the flavours mixed together etc...
  • Add seasoning to taste then plate up and enjoy!

That's probably a bit rough as I never follow a recipe when actually making it, but off the top of my head that is how it is made.  As I always say though - taste as you go along and you can't go wrong!

I do like my car More and more everytime I drive it  it's so responsive

On this morning's walk with Brandy, I found £6.58 and oddly €1.96 (lost holiday change??) from the pavement by the takeaways.  It's the first time, I've found a currency other than ours.  Brandy found, but was the denied the opportunity to claim,  a grit ridden sausage nestled between an equally gritty bun, which was occupied by two slugs wallowing in the ketchup!

I also like like that the daily tomato harvest has gone over a kilo now:smile:, still spread between four varieties, but the Zebras and the Monserrat are beginning to blush now, so they should be ready by next week.  The Monserrat is a beefsteak variety, with each tomato around 250-300gm size, Zebra is a stripey tomato of normal size

.

i had a walk with brandy also, from tesco to home, litre in each hand.

Haha!  You've put me in the mood of brandy now, haven't had any for months, if not over a year.

Oooh 36% abv?

I used duty free or imported 45-50% when making fruit flavoured spirits, trying not to dilute the alcohol too much with the juice from the fruit.

I do like the solid oak (18mm thick) flooring is finally going down in the hallway, it looks so far - amazing:biggrin:

I do like finishing work at 13:15 today, and having the afternoon to myself.  Unfortunately it was too hot to do anything though!

It's hot down here too, at the moment.

However, the Met Office have issued a weather warning for heavy rain and unseasonally strong gales for tonight and tomorrow. Still it will refill my butts again, if they're right:smile:
