Things I do like

Been about 5°C here all day and raining/sleet plus a wee bit of thunder and lightning! Feels like winter has finally arrived!

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Well that puts my little weather station to shame!

It's been about 15c here all day, very little wind either.  I've had to turn the heating down for the last couple of days, been like summer again!

It's a Davis Vantage Vue, quite a decent bit of kit. I 'rescued' it from a skip a couple of years ago :wink3:

It's even better when you run a weather programme called Cumulus, gives you the option to see graphs etc

I do like finding quite a few of my meat and fish shopping list items in the various reduced areas at Tesco, the steaks, the lamb cutlets and kippers were half price:smile: the two roasting joints were £2 each:smile: and the 10 mackerel fillets were only 12p each:biggrin:

Sadly all the rest of my shopping wasn't discounted, and I forgot the portobello mushrooms (again)

That's an impressive weather station:smile:

I like that the first five minutes of the first episode of 'The Grand Tour' was far far better than the whole of the mess that has become 'Top Gear' was for a whole season.

If you can watch it, stream it or find a link on youtube then you must see it.

Top Gear is dead, long live Grand Tour.

I do like that fuel prices have fallen since I filled up the Mk1 Focus last week by 5p a litre, across both fuels:smile:  I wonder if this is a trend downwards again?

I also like when I phoned the vets to re-order a repeat Metacam prescription for Brandy,  The nurse pointed out it would be a lot cheaper to have 180ml bottle, than keep having a 32ml bottle every 27 days. The 180ml bottle is £69: whereas the 32ml is £23, three times the price for almost six times the quantity:smile:

I filled up at 113.9 unleaded this afternoon, which I thought was low (until other people told me they filled up at 110.9!!) Still, better to go down than up, I think it's time fuel duty should not only be frozen, but REDUCED. We get taxed for tax, ridiculous.

On another note, I do LIKE finally getting my wheels balanced - no more passenger seat vibrating at 70 MPH - smooth as silk on the motorway today, didn't realize what I was missing out on! :) Can't believe I waited this long tbh - rear left tyre was out by 120g!

Fuel here has also gone down, was 1.20 at BP last week for diesel, so I used Sainsburys at 1.16 instead...  Now BP is down to 1.13 but I don't need fuel for probably another fortnight...what's the betting it's gone up by then lol!

Cheapest around me is 1.10 at Tesco and most expensive is shell at 1.18

How much!; I'm still paying 1.10 for unleaded. Have been for months.

Is there going to be any free and legal way to watch it after the main showing?  Like an iPlayer style thing?

i doubt it, amazon want you to subscribe to keep watching.

Oh.

Prime costs too much and I don't like doing illegal things online lol, too paranoid!  :laugh:

It is free and as legal goes well you are not downloading. Just streaming it. Have a google and since it is not live no crime there either. Have a google. Easy to set up
