Thanks Tim. I'm looking at getting Uniroyal rainsport 5 for the front wheels as I had a nail go through on of them plus the tread is getting to the limit. 

Hopefully not with the drilling. Never heard of anyone having issues doing this conversion but hopefully it's safe.

That's not bad. I pay £200 for my ST and £380 for my 310R (which includes track days).

I don't think consumables like tyres, discs pads and bulbs need to be declared, but larger wheels and calipers do. Of course fitting LED bulbs in halogen headlights is a separate issue since January

Mine thankfully is projectors with high powered HIDs so hopefully I'm good. Gives a great beam pattern.

Looks a good nicely defined beam pattern there.

If the headlights are designed for HID bulbs you'll be fine. It used to be down to beam pattern (I used to run HID bulbs in the standard headlights on my Elise and they passed MOT each year), but this is what the rules changed to in January:

Definitely. That's what I love about HIDs as they are much more brighter plus the projectors help with the beam pattern.

Haven't had issues with MOT with these lights so id think you'd be okay 👍

I just filled up with Esso Synergy Supreme+ (filling up has been a rarity of late) and I was surprised to see it's now 99 octane. I had a look on Esso's website and it seems it was launched recently and is also ethanol free

Just ordered these Uniroyal rainsport 5 to replace the punctured tire and other side front tire. Hopefully more wet grip than the toyos.

Better to have the more grippier tires on the front. That puncture I got I believe I got when I drove to the graveyard. The path is covered in rubble and believe it wasn't properly maintained.

So, that's the issue settled then. New tires should go on the front, unless, you want to put them on the rear LOL 🤣

I do like receiving a message from a carpenter which i contacted to ask if he would fit three door frames, doors skirting and architrave aswell as fit some oak flooring to my hall way and living room floor, 

He's arriving on Friday to start installing with a view of finishing Saturday evening, 

I'm delighted to be having them fitted and glad to have the floor space back in the kitchen as the doors need to be stored on there flat to prevent warping until fitted, so there taking up floor pace along with the rest of the items,  

I've taken Thursday off work to prepare, aswell as Friday and Saturday to take the dog away from the house while the carpenter works his magic, also receiving an Ikea order this Friday which will see the wall mounted breakfast bar being created in the kitchen , 

and my order of Keystone Clipsal RJ45 wall plate inserts arrived today from Southern Australia which has completed the wall plate in preparation for the breakfast bar build which will house the Printer/Scanner in the kitchen.

Carpenter is arriving this morning to commence fitting of downstairs door frames, floors and doors, 

I'm off work until Monday, 

Today I'll be mostly looking after our dog Liam, 

it would be awkward having him in the house as he's very protective of us

 

and his lip starts to lift when he gets nervous 🤭 and Howl's like he's leering a fox hunt when anyone enters the driveway, 

So I'm putting the rear seat of the focus down, and putting his bed inside; going for a two hour walk first then park up somewhere for lunch and get him a chew bone, while the carpenter is at home 👍🏻

First day of the carpenter completed; he's coming back first thing in the morning hail rain or snow were his words exactly 👍🏻

Got the toilet door & frame fitted aswell as the living room and hallway floor, 

Tomorrow will be fitting latches handles & lock to the toilet door aswell as fitting the living room door frame, door, skirting boards and architrave,

Unfortunately the kitchen door we received from the supplier is the wrong size, the replacement is due to arrive next week which is what we have been told by the supplier for the past three Monday mornings that we made a phone call 😅

Giving it one more week; if it hasn't been replaced then I'll sell the one I've got and purchase what I required from an alternative supplier.

Note: this is nothing atall to do with the carpenter; we bought the item's from local suppliers online, then sourced the carpenter to fit our items.

Here's the fantastic work so far 👌🏻 really delighted with it.

Anywhere that you see red paint is to indicate the presence of either a water heating pipe or a cable inside the wall so the carpenter knows not to drive a nail or it will make baby Jesus cry.

Four years ago I started this project 😂 started with just the living room improvement, then spread to the entire house project, now it's finally back to completing the living room 👍🏻

Thanks Turvey mate, were really delighted and have been very lucky overall with the tradesmen which we have gotten for this job and back when having the double doors blocked up and plastered,

This guy has 15 years experience in his job and has arrived back first thing today, i always feel it's a real worry when getting someone in to do a job because You've worked hard yourself for the money to pay for everything and it's your home so ofcourse you want it to be perfect then with all time & ingredients invested one hands everything over to someone in the hope of them doing it well. 

Mostly reputiple people are contacted on recommendation from friends or known by family; but we're 300km away from any family member's here which is generally a bonus 😅 but not when it comes to getting work done, and I wouldn't ask anyone in work because they may appoint themselves to be of fit standard 😂

And I'm not bragging here with the following pictures I'm just sharing pictures of some excellent craftsmanship as I wouldn't be able to do this fantastic detail myself and it will be covered by skirting boards but before it's covered; check it out👌🏻

 

Above image is of the floor outside of the downstairs toilet door and partition wall, 

See that he has taken the time to measure the length of the wall aswell as some depth in order to fit; one single strip of flooring in to that area for a completely seamless pattern, 

I've pointed this out to him first thing this morning and I've told him it's excellent 👍🏻

I've paid him this morning and added an extra 100 euro because he arrived when he said he would and he's also agreed cut and fit the IKEA kitchen work top and brackets which have arrived this morning; in to the corner of the kitchen, it's currently 186cm x 85cm 

He's going to make it 80cm x 50cm and fit it to the wall above the new sockets in the corner of the kitchen where I can fit the printer/scanner on top.

I feel like I'm spamming the thread now but here we go 😅

The IKEA delivery arrived and the carpenter; cut & fitted the section of worktop for me aswell as completing the rest of the work in the living room and hallway, 

He's coming back to fit the kitchen door when we get the correct size as the one which was sent out is too wide for our requirements which I think I explained yesterday.

Here's the kitchen corner finished with the printer/scanner & shelves above with fake plants all delivered today from IKEA the 60L bin was from "The Range" 

The skirting boards aren't fitted in the kitchen yet as I'm waiting to get tiles down first, 

And here's the fantastic work done in the hallway and living room; I'm quite the Victor meldrew and I really can't find fault with any of it 😅 it's excellent

Someone quite literally dropped it off at work..... dumped it out of a skip!

Turns on but comes up with an error code when buttons are pressed, no key although you can get them off eBay apparently. 

I'm not holding out much hope for it but we'll see.
