Does that comment mean you haven’t had any vaccine then? If so maybe that’s why your daughter didn’t want you visiting.

Nah, I’m humble with my mask firmly on the floor-opps,feet firmly on the floor ha ha.

"...Formula 1 to make Covid-19 vaccines mandatory for all personnel this year..."

I have been an F1 fan for over 50 years (I know many of you aren't...), never missing a race. However, this coupled with Hamilton's ever increasing political stance (starting with his BLM protests 2 years ago) have made me increasingly disillusioned with the sport. To make vaccines mandatory is just wrong, I speak as someone who is tripled jabbed, however, if someone 'made' me rather than my own choice, I'd have told them to stuff it.

Normally, I would be getting excited with the new season starting in March, reading up on the drivers, team changes, new rules etc. Now, I couldn't care less.

I hate the way that supposedly intelligent people who make up governing rules prove themselves so uneducated and lacking the intellectual capacity for their role...

If they don’t like it they can go and get a job elsewhere.

Its a sport that travels the world, having everyone who works in the paddock vaccinated will help F1 get into the countries they are racing, whose rules may be different to ours, it will also mean F1s covid procedures can be relaxed.

I like your last sentence, after you’ve said you couldn’t care less about F1 now because they’re going to do something for their business that will not affect you in the slightest, lol.

I was also vociferous against our governments decision to sack NHS workers unless they were vaccinated - wouldn't have effected me 'in the slightest', but, I just knew it to be wrong. At least the government also realised at the last minute that they were entirely wrong, and backtracked on it...

Oh, and that was the slogan used on the NHS staff that everyone just a year ago spent weekly sessions on their doorstep clapping!

The same staff who saying they were under pressure, tired and stressed due to working through covid, who saw the effects it had on patients and staff but, don’t want to have a vaccine which will help.

I think you misunderstand what the vaccine does.

It does NOT prevent you getting Covid

It does NOT prevent you passing it on

It does protect you from being hospitalised if you get covid - it is a protection for the person who takes the vaccine, no one else

It should never be linked between a person's choice to have it, and employment.

Just because it isn’t 100% perfect doesn’t mean it’s not worth using.

It does make a reduction in passing it onto others, it does reduce the chance of catching it, it does reduce the effects if you do catch it. These effects reduce over time hence the boosters.

Did you read my post? I am triple jabbed (quadruple if you count the flu). I'm not an anti vaxer, I am all in favour of it. Just don't believe in discriminating against folk who'd rather not have it, for whatever reason.

I know what you said, was that comment about you? No it’s for those supposedly educated ***** wits in the NHS who refuse to get the vaccine.

Canada - Truckers - Prime minister in hiding 🤣

It takes something to get a reaction from a Canadian, but boy they sure have reacted over vaccine mandate !!! 👍

I have had no issue with taking the vaccines.Had my third(booster) shot yesterday. No reactions @ all, other than a sore arm, which is to be expected.

I decided to shop at my usual Sainsbury’s rather than elsewhere yesterday.Only in the supermarket a couple of minutes and yes-over the tannoy a message asking customers to wear a face mask unless with a medical condition. The security cctv had obviously seeked me out because it looked like everyone else had one on.

You should have distracted security by shoplifting something, they love a good chase and would soon have forgotten about your lack of mask LOL

most shops that i use still have the please wear a mask signage up, and TBF i dont really mind throwing one on ive got used to it. Tho i titter to myself when i see car drivers [solo] wearing masks haha

It's only dawned on me why I was so disturbed by your comment. I have just seen the new Kenneth Brannagh movie, 'Belfast', filmed through the eyes of a young boy in 1969 when the 'troubles' started. I am of similar age, growing up in an atmosphere of violence and blind discrimination.

Blind, in that it was based on religion, everyone looked the same, but simply had a different faith, and were mutually murdered for that reason. Discrimination of all sorts always based on the premise that 'my life' would be much better if them'uns weren't different...

It made me grow up later in life with a keen sense of tolerance as I saw the effect close up of intolerance. Whether it is religion, skin colour, birth country, or frighteningly now, vaccination status.

Discrimination of any kind is simply wrong, and should be spoken up against no matter what the cause. So even if discrimination does not directly effect you, it is only proper that you speak up about it...
