First time posting here, just another one to let you know that our cars are getting delivered.  Confirmed yesterday that my chrome blue Focus Active Vignale estate 155mhev is with the dealer. Picking it up next Friday for the new reg.

Ordered it on 31 January so not a long a wait compared to others.  Good luck if you are still waiting.

SO lucky, my dealer when I ordered the car in feb 2022 said that Active will 155mhev will not be delivered this year, otherwise I would've purchase it... 

New update from dealer. Estimated production date of 31st August, arriving early October. Previously production date was 28th July with September arrival so must have just missed out on it being done before the factory shutdown. Bit gutted with that. Hope this one is accurate and it arrives before I have to get another MOT/service on my current car.

Glad to see other cars arriving though!

Looks awesome! Actually regretting ordering the standard st-line instead of the st-line vignale now looking at all the pics. The 18" wheels really set the car off. Think I'm going to order the st-line vignale when order books open again and part exchange the standard st-line lol

Why dont you ask the dealership if you can ammend your order?  You can do it quite close to the actual build date. 

I'd see if you can test drive one with 18s over rough roads and potholes before altering your order.  

Ordered ST line Vignale 155 auto - Nov 2021, last update from dealer was that a VIN had been assigned with production end August with delivery October.

Worth it I'd say. The STs look amazing.

I guess it's your taste. I do like a firm ride myself.

You can at least have adaptive suspension on the ST to reduce the 'impact' of larger wheels.

Dealer could only pass on the estimated build date (originally March, latest July) so I tried to speak to Ford themselves. Live chat weren't very helpful so tried an email. They called me back and couldn't tell me much more. I wanted to know if cars of my spec were being produced at all and they couldn't say, again only give me the estimated build date of July. The fact that it's still showing as July is promising I guess since others here have later dates but I'd be willing to bet that as soon as July roles around it changes to August. Nothing to do but sit tight I suppose, that's what I get for spec-ing up my car a bit.

Actually saw it today but my tablet doesn't want to upload the photos. It was looking good amongst about 20 other new Fords.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I received this info from 3 dealers when I was thinking about this option for my ST - with adaptive suspension you can only make the car stiffer compared to a standard ST suspension. Basically the softest setting is pretty much what you would feel in an ST without adaptive suspension. But like I've said, it's not based on my own experience, so not 100% sure.

That is exactly how it is.

There is no custom mode and the softest setting is equal to the standard suspension (non active).

There was also a review that was stating this so you don't just go on what the dealer says. (I can't find the link as it was from 2019)

The conclusion is that if you don't want to put it on the track don't waste your money.

That is exactly what I did.

I will also be selling the 19" and replace them with 18" as on RO roads 19" will be a pothole's dream to wreck.

The thing with adaptive suspension is that the shocks aren't 'fixed' for want of a better word.  The car is constantly scanning the road for bumps and potholes and making constant adjustments for each individual wheel.  So it's not just about overall stiffness.

I haven't tried a Mk4 with adaptive suspension (because it wasn't an option on the Active sadly) but I can confirm the VW adaptive suspension does give a smoother ride.  If Ford have set theirs up so badly that it can only be stiffer then that sounds like poor design, rather than suspension limitation.

When I chose mine, it was only available on the ST.  I'm not sure if they've opened it up to the standard models now?

I’m not sure. I thought it was one of the many extras I couldn’t afford! 
btw I’ve extended my mb lease , and the Hyundai Kona EV that I seriously considered was removed from the list last week.

I didn't realise the Kona EV had been removed.  Was popular on MB forum but I haven't been over there for the last couple of months.  I think you've probably made the right choice by extending.
