I just received an email from the dealer, stating that my order was processed to the factory and that there are big chances that the car will be built at the beginning of Q4 2022.

The car was ordered on 6th June 2022 in Bulgaria - Focus Active X estate 155 MHEV manual, Desert Island Blue, Winter pack, Family pack, B&O, Matrix LED, driver's assistance pack.

It's funny how my dealer did everything possible, maybe using some non-traditional ways, just to fulfill the order I wanted to cancel... Somehow they managed to place an order to the Ford system during an order-halt and using an old configuration from old price-list (Active X) - that's in case what they say is true... for sure there is some room for a doubt there... 🙂

I think it is likely if you didn't order until June 22 when the factory ordering was closed that the dealer has found an existing build slot for an older order..

What they've said is what they are doing the impossible in order to fulfill their clients orders and that after multiple negotiations with the factory they were able to process it. Maybe an existing slot, or some kind of compromise or they just lie to me... I am not sure... the thing that bothers me is that they are ready to do everything for an order, that I just wanted cancelled...

Because in Bulgaria Ford sales are not that great, that's probably why... I hope you'll get your car soon

Same goes for Greece, but no such luck for many of us here. There are people waiting for 400+ days for a simple Fiesta. In Stefan's case, I think it's what Carsey said about an existing order being cancelled and freeing up a build slot.

About Carplay, only higher spec mk4s had Ford Navigation, all had/have CarPlay/Android Auto option if you’ve got a smart phone. What I really want in the 4.5 is wireless CarPlay and wireless charging pad. Even then I’d probably still use Ford nav with Live Traffic and Local Hazard Information. 
A mk4.5 desert island blue ST Line (I think Vignale ) as it’s same wheels and blacked out windows like my STLX passed me earlier today….Looks great . 

Black st line vig estate passed me today.

My 50/50 feeling had fell quite significantly yesterday, and was thinking about alternatives.

Saw that today (In my colour) and thought na, I'll hang on a little longer....

Personally,  I am waiting until the end of the year. 

If I don't get my car before 2023 I will get my deposit back. 

I am not desperate, but would love to have a 4.5 on my driveway. 

I'm hoping near December most of us will be in a new thread discussing how much we love our new cars!

Wouldn't get excited about the wireless charging pad! - got one in my ST line X puma and its rubbish!! - ford have completely missed the boat on the wireless revolution and supplied this piece of crap which charges as slow, if not slower then the USB's do and overheats and damages your phone!!

I find mine really useful for a quick top up on the way to work.

Well - can't really comment there - my puma ones crap and my wife has a 4.0 focus with wireless charger option and hers is not much - if any, better!?.......

My ST-X is scheduled to be built on September 9th. 
 

I was told that transport is then another 4 week wait but we’ll see. We’re getting close! 

Thanks, I will collect the car next Friday once it's been through PDI etc.

The order and build info is just non existent as I was last told July 15th and then after this nothing was updated on the Ford system. The next thing we know the car is coming to the dealer.

Luckily the equity on my current car that I will part ex has remained the same (actually went up by £200) and Ford are honouring the price and 0% finance that I was quoted back in Nov 2021.

Looking forward to my last ever Focus (and hopefully not Ford, but will see where they go with EVs as not a fan of SUVs)

Demo car, meaning it was already built right but it was at the dealer for display purposes, right? Do you happen to know when it was ordered though? In any case, congrats on the purchase, enjoy the car mate 😄

Yeah, they started doing this in Greece as well. I saw that some dealerships started selling the demo Fiestas they had since February, not that they had many or were well equipped to begin with 😅 

Hey guys - Ray from Switzerland here ✌🏻

Able to pick up my new focus (st line design 155ps magnetic metallic) this thursday (25.08) 🙏🏼😍

But then I realised, that there are no picture online of my exact model (facelift but with small display and sync3). 🤷🏽‍♂️

Luckily enough I ended up here, reading all about the mk4.5 delays because of the chips etc.

So I hit up my dealer and asked why my car doesn't have sync4 and the big display. He indeed confirmed that they have troubles with the chips and to cover that up they are rolling out the new focus but with small display and sync3. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Personally i dont care because i have the same display now in my puma titanium and i just bought the focus 2 weeks ago (so no big waittime for me) 

Hopefully that information can help someone else 🙏🏼

 

Just been told by my dealer that my car is currently being built and in the resegmentation stage,  planned completly built stage is 02nd September

I read some good news in different forums, production appears to be building up, let's cross fingers. 

Not reading much about ST's (280) though
