@Daz-UK - can confirm no iso-fix caps! also no ford document wallet either! Although I see why, as all servicing is kept online, and all the owners manual is stored within the sync 4. literally no need for it in the glove box anymore! Engine cover is in place on mine, but I guess that's because it's an ST?

@Coley666

I’ve spoke to Ford and the iso-fix caps were removed by Ford earlier in 2022. They said no one is bothered about them any more.
just me then lol.

Yep you can download the manual on both sync 4 and in the app.  Just feels strange not to have any manuals any more. But that’s progress I assume.

loving my car tho.  It feels much better made and more so.I’d thank my 2020 focus. Really happy with it.
how you getting on.

If I didn't have the car seats, I'd want the caps for sure! Not personally bothered by the manual though, I think I googled everything for my 2015 focus anyway, so will continue to do the same now 😅

In terms of the car, I'm completely in love! A huge upgrade for me from the mk 3.5, but just about everything is better. I've done around 500 miles now and things are becoming more natural (steering wheel controls, menus on the sync 4 etc etc)

Safe to say I'm also really happy! I had my reservations about changing, but so far I've got no regrets ☺️ thanks for asking!

That’s great and glad you really happy 👍

For me, I went from the 2020 to 2022 but the Sync 4 is the game changer and Apple CarPlay wireless.

It feels a much more solid put together car and the B&O sound system I love.
I’ve got the ISO-fix caps now. Garage got them for me.  Then I’ve added car seat covers for winter as well as Ford rubber mats.

Then in summer I go back to velour mats lol.

I just got my first error on my car: ,,Check Adaptive Headlamp System See Manual" ...I hope that it'll be just a temporary problem and not a permanently one..

fingers crossed it’s just a blip

Yeah, I went on a test drive with the car today and it is fine now, I think it was due to the fact that the car had water on the sensor, that's probably the reason why I got this error...I'll test in a few days on a night drive to see if I see some negative things or not

Hi all,

Thought I'd add some thoughts after 1044 miles.

B&O. Wow its amazing, but was slightly frustrated by a rattle coming from the b pillar. Today it'd gone, so maybe now it's a little warmer, or the fact I asked the Mrs to prod around in that area earlier, it's seems to have gone. It's absolutely ace I must say.

Matrix lights are a must have. Proper clever. Like sausage said to me, it transforms the night time driving experience.

Averaged 50 mpg today over 140 miles from the 155 petrol. Well enough shove for us non st owners. Not on the level of the monster St of course, but great for a 1.0l.

Android auto wireless. Have had a few issues actually. Kept disconnecting on a journey to London, and I keep getting a lost GPS connection issue, but I'm convinced its my phone. Have updated it so let's see.

Chassis is ace. And I must say the difference between drive modes is quite noticeable. Sport mode makes the steering and throttle response such that the car feels a little wired. I.e. jittery, sensitive. Which is good for b roads, and if it gets on your nerves, you can just pop it back in normal which is much more refined.. so it's good to have that option to transform the car so much.

Still waiting to get the sunroof open, but it doesn't seem to rattle or add any squeaks or such. In fact the whole car just feels so well put together.

In summary > I think she's a keeper

Hi Plimp, I've over 3k on the clock now and really enjoying the car. Re your B pillar rattle, was it from the driver's side? I've an intermittent one that seems to be from the seat belt mount area.

Seat belt mount area yeah.

Rings a bell.

One of the things I tried adjusting was to play with that and move it up and down etc.

But, passenger side on a uk car though mate. Could be the same thing though.

Was on the wrong thread there.

Well, let me tell you about my consumption. I only have 100Km, but still:

- in town in traffic it's 20l/100km (aka 14mpg - UK)

- outside town on B roads 14l/100Km (aka 20mpg - UK)

Something isn't right there, have you worked this out or is it what the computer is saying..

I got like 37mpg on a motorway run, obviously not wellying it.

My average after 400 ish miles is about 27mpg.

Just what the computer says. Will see in spring when I will actually start using the car how it goes.

On my MK 3.5 1.0L it only stabilized after the first 1000 km.

But it was funny to report 🙂

@SausagMan those figures I can only dream about 😅

I think that’s been lost in translation! 😂

I can’t make any sense of it 🤷‍♂️

Been following this thread for months now and thought I would finally chime in with my order as its seems I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. May give anyone still waiting an idea on their orders.

Ordered my ST-Line Vignale 155PS Manual in Feb 22. Without going into much detail like most struggled to get any updates then from September onwards had updates all over the shop

Sep 22 - Car is built and waiting to ship (which I didn't believe reading the delays on here)

Oct 22 - Dealership advised update was a mistake, its 99% built and waiting a part.

Nov 22 - Still being built and we cant give you any more information.

Last month I finally had a bit of a moan to the dealers manger and finally got a concrete update. Car was built September 19th but was put assembly offline waiting for the Sync 4 screen. That was finally fitted December 16th and the car was at the port waiting to ship (shown on the Ford tracking this time). They have said they expected the car with them 7th. Ill be honest I don't expect it that quick but at least i know its built now and on its way. Hopefully not long until i can join some of you guys in enjoying the car.

I am still in my 'breaking in' phase - I am sure they will change.

I have a motorway run on Weds, i will report back on my figures.

This is bad!

My stats are weird as well to be honest.

In the city: 8.5 l  / 100km

Highway: 12-14 l / 100km

I know I'm good at fuel efficient city driving but on the highway whether its low revs or high revs I burn through a ton of fuel. On a single tank I often get 350-380 km out of it (40-45 l)

Well i already made 8000km since september and my average is 6.6l/100km. Its not the end of the world but its weird coming from a 5.4l/100km mk3,5 tdci...

And being the must carefull guy with the gas pedal.

I already made 4800km and avg fuel consumption is at 10l/100km, but around 3k km of those 4.8k were on highways. With cruise control set at 120km/h it's slightly below 9l/100km. Lowest I could get was when I was traveling between the cities using "normal" roads - not highway - 7l/100km (avg speed was probably at around 75km/h). At the begining those figures were much higher, I couldn't get below 9.5l/100km on highways (cc at 120km/h). 2.3l ecoboost. Side note - I did an oil change at around 2.5k km and managed to see the old oil - it looked pretty good and clear, without visible particles or anything like that, so that's great.

Very similar story, ST line Vignale 155 auto, ordered 3rd February, told it had been built on the 28th September, expected at the dealer by the 5th November, then told late October that it was assembly off line waiting for parts. No further news since then, will contact the dealer when they reopen.

Not to sound patronising, but have you reset your trip? When I picked the car up mine read something horrific like 7mpg average! There are two readings on mine... An overall trip for distance driven, mpg and time. And then an mpg only trip. I reset the multi reading screen each time I fill up, but only reset the overal mpg only trip on my last fill up!

I've done around 600 miles now, and I'm seeing an average of about 24mpg. I've started opening it up a little more and using sport mode a little more too.

Now I'm fully back into the swing of work I expect that overall to slightly go up. It's all A road / Motorway driving for the commute, and I'm shift worker so not rush hour traffic!

Welcome! 👋

I got really lucky, ordering when the books opened in September and within 11 weeks I was in my car! I know of a few others who got lucky too, but the most common car that seems to have people waiting on is the 155 engine!

The hold up on the sync 4 caused chaos for Ford (and their customers!) The manufacturing was in Ukraine which eventually was moved to Spain (I believe) around summer time. It's a shame it took so long for it to finally be fitted in the car though!

My dealership seemed to think though that a big part of the more recent delays was all to do with Fords European emission targets. (They can sell how ever many cars they like, but can't sell over a specified emissions each year). They seemed to think this was the biggest factor. They said Mach-E were coming through more than any other model (zero emissions!) and that now the new year is here and everyone coming back to work as normal this week, ICE cars should start coming through! Don't hold your breath too much though, because I'm sure the delays at the ports will add to the chaos!

Keep the faith though! The whole process is nearly over, and going forward we should start to see the days of getting a car within a few months of ordering again!

Just to be proper, I did enjoy over 50 mpg on the way to Nottingham the other day, but my average over 1100 miles is 43 mpg.

Not too bad I don't think, especially considering its winter and its new.

1.0l 155 engine by the way
