Definitely not 🙂. These are Carmani rims now, but were originally Audi rims (when this specific design was launched).

I just added some Ford custom center caps to them (62mm). 😄

They suit it perfectly, and look designed for the car.

It's currently in a compound in Hamms Hall which I didn't know was a thing.

This is bang on to my prediction from JWR of build date to delivery of 55 days, so hopefully this is further confirmation to others that are waiting.

My dates.

Ordered 5th Mar

Build 13th Oct.

Build completion 16th Nov.

Shipped status 20th Nov.

Delivery to dealer 12th Dec.

Have hope Jo. Hopefully it's with the dealer next week.

For me it's the same - right above the floor 😉 But got used to it fairly quickly, I'm now over 3k km and it's great, I don't even think about the clutch at all.

Then I might just need to wait for spring to do some KM on it once the temperature allows it.

I asked and it didn't go on a train from Dag to Liv, so not delayed due to that train issue.

Long post follows!

I'm still feeling pretty rough and haven't been out since getting home Thursday, but I clocked around 100 miles driving different roads and speeds from picking her up. What can I say? She's a thing of beauty, a dream, and an absolute beast as well! 😍

I took my Dad with me to pick her up. He's always dreamed of buying a brand new car and never did, so I truly wanted to share this experience with him. I gave him the honours of pulling off the black sheet they had tried to hide her under. His face was something else through the whole process, and totally worth it letting him do it! 😅 
The in house valeters didn't do a bad job, but I'll give it a proper clean when I'm feeling better, and I'm off to see a guy about ceramic next week 🤞

We took a steady drive home, and straight away it felt so familiar to my MK3.5 ST, yet so different. Everything just feels great! The throttle response, the precision in the steering, the ride comfort (no issue being on the 19" rims compared to my previous 18", although I'm now in something 7 years newer 😅) 

One thing that definitely impresses me are the matrix headlights. They really are something! 👌 And the colour just looks stunning in the night



So hopefully to answer a few questions...

@IL Dotore - my bite point is fine. it's not right down on the floor, probably about a third of the way up. pretty much sits in the same place as my old ST, and feels like it's it the right place (for me at least). Give it some time and I'm sure it'll become natural soon enough 👌

@Plimp92 - I got to see some details at pickup regarding order date/build date/delivery etc. I've asked for a copy of them to be exact, but my build date was around 27th November. So ordered 23rd September, completed 27th November (estimated), delivered to dealer 2nd December, picked up 8th December. 10 weeks and 6days from order to hand over. I'm very lucky I think!

@Sclarke85 - your review did put my mind a little at ease, and everything you said I've found to be spot on. The ambient lights are enough, especially for saying I didn't think I was getting any! The sync 4 screen is big, yes, but I personally love it! Moving up from the sync 2 (without navigation) this is huge improvement for me. Just having android auto is a big enough bonus! 

@Carsey - No mention of any run-in period. My best mate used to be a business manager in car sales and said most are broken in at the factory as such. Just "normal" driving for a bit and it should be fine. I tried out the different driving modes and in sport it's great fun, kept it mostly under 3000 rpm, with once or twice going a little higher 🙈 Bedding the brakes in will probably be more important!

@Daz-UK - can confirm no iso-fix caps! also no ford document wallet either! Although I see why, as all servicing is kept online, and all the owners manual is stored within the sync 4. literally no need for it in the glove box anymore! Engine cover is in place on mine, but I guess that's because it's an ST?

@Chera - no issues with the B&O sound system. Had it up to 15 or so and no distortion, no odd vibrations, all seems well and good to me. I will need to sit and have a play a little with the equalizer to get it set just right, but I'll rarely have it too loud as I like the exhaust tone too much 😅 And for reference, I mostly listen to Indie/Rock music

Someone asked bout the electronic handbrake, but I can't remember who, or what they asked? 😅 So far it seems that if you keep the auto hold on, you have to press the brake in a little further when you come to a stop to engage auto hold. If the auto hold is enabled, and you have the parking brake on you just go to pull away and it turns it off. Pull up to turn off, push down to turn off.

Great news! Mine is stuck in Dagenham but the most annoying thing is that when it does leave there it goes to Liverpool before going on to the dealer in Preston. I live less than 10 minutes away from the Liverpool distribution location!
