fiestalux
I just received my new Fiesta Ecoboost (100HP) about 10 days ago so it is still very much in the run in period, so I wont judge it but I have also read very mixed reviews on "real" fuel economy. Anyway, please let me know what sort of fuel economy you are experiencing? I plan to do a couple of quite long cross-EU trips in it over the summer and don't fancy bankrupting myself on fuel :)
Gary.J
42 mpg for my ST2 unless I'm playing. You should easily clear 45-50.

Mike77
Only real advice I can offer is pay NO attention to advertised mpg figures, as they are manufactured to fool the public into buying into the brand. One of my neighbors has just bought the 100bhp ecoboost model, and is getting no where near the claimed figures, ( this is from a man well into his 70's and far from a boy recer). CheeseMonkey
I've got the 125bhp 1.0 ecoboost.. I looked at Honest John and read up on all the 'real life' mpg figures people had submitted. So far since November last year I have always been 40L to fill for about £52. That's using my local Asda for petrol. The car was reading 35 MPG and has slowly creeped up to 40 MPG with my last 2 fills.. PS I reset all my computers at each fill. I do mainly small commutes, I'm about 17 mile round trip to work. No motorway. What that really breaks down to is 300 miles to a tank then I need to think about filling up (50 miles left on computer) Since the weather's got a bit better I've been getting 350 miles and my driving style hasn't changed. I got my car with 4400 miles and it's now about 6200! Im going to try and fill up with the optimum Shell fuel the next few times to see if I notice a power increase and or an mpg increase! This car does so much better than my 330D Auto lol so I don't mind experimenting with the fancy fuel.. I feel like I'm cheating when I get a full tank for £50 lol. Willy
I always fill up from an empty tank (39 - 41 liters) and here are my mpg figures for my fiesta 1.0 125 not driving economically ;)
MattDRX
I used to get 49 out of my 100, 43 in the St. 31 in the astra hire car. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Ford OC mobile app
NQbbe
My 1.0 125bhp Zetec S claims to do around 44 MPG, but when I actually measure it it's nearer 39 MPG. I mostly do short trips of around 7-8 miles, so that's probably why it's somewhat low.
Rich T
I get about 430 miles out of a tank so that's about 47mpg. I can get in the 50's if I drive a bit steadier I'd say I do 80% motorway, 20% town. On a steady run across EU I'd expect you to get around 50mpg. MartynS
How are some of you getting over 40 on an ST! Mine stays at around 34mpg whether I do motorway or not, driving it hard or just driving it normally... Not that I'm complaining as I was expecting around that from it, but I want in on the 40s! fiestalux
Thanks for the info, I never really believed the numbers and by default I took off about 10-15mpg to be "realisitc" even at that it would still be ok in my book (and probably quite high), if it constantly does below 40mpg though I may be less amused. In my case I am mainly going to use it about 60/40 for longer road trips (1-2 hour on relatively free flowing roads) and the rest in the city (constant traffic jams). Otherwise its longer trips through central Europe on motorways. I had a look on about eco driving and once the car has been broken in I may give that a try. kathyp
interesting info for me too as a potential purchaser! If I would be getting about 40mpg around town from the 1.0 125 then that's not bad...although an absurd difference to the official figures!! potter18
Aaround 44+ mainly short stop start journeys around town but have had 50 + on longer runs ( ecoboot 100 ps )

Around 23-26 normally, guess thats why! Whenever I do motorway it's only part of the journey so I guess it doesn't really count lol.
fiestalux
Patter18, Sounds promising and kind of what I was hoping for. I'd be happy to get about 50+ for longer trips on motorways etc as the reason for buying it was to get out of the city on weekends etc.
NQbbe
The only time I've taken a longer trip on motorway I did about 40 miles at 85 mph. On that trip the computer said below 40 MPG - can't remember the exact number, I just remember it used more than with my usual driving pattern. I'm not sure what motorway speed you drive at in UK though :)
CheeseMonkey
Willy, What app you using? I used to use 'RoadTrip' for my iPhone but I've not rocked one of them for a year now and never got a replacement Android app! Willy
Fuellog on Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.simonmorgenthaler.fuellog MPG will be more accurate using a fuel app compared to the car's on board MPG figures.
Ecoboost125
On my 100 with 800 on the clock mainly short journeys 30-60 mph around 6 miles one way I get at very worse low 40s 42-48 mixture of eco driving and not caring too much, but as I havent run it in yet I am trying to be reasonably careful :) Most I have seen so far was 53 and that was on a short run to the local Sainsbury's (other supermarkets are available) Figures based on Tesco Momentum 99 Sent from my GT-I9300 using Ford OC mobile app

There's loads out there it seems so picking the right one from the start might be an idea. I'd like to start fresh, with a reliable app when my new ride arrives.
