Programming A New Remote Key?

Hi,

Just recently picked up a 04 Fiesta Zetec. I was told there is remote central locking but the 3 button key was lost and they didn't want to pay the Ford dealer £130+ to replace it.

I have 2 normal keys that start the engine (Blue coloured immobiliser mark). It is possible for me to buy a remote key fob online and reprogram both immobiliser chip and remote to work on my car?

Other companies can program the fob for you but you need the code.

Only Ford will have the code and probably in the Archive by now and will want you to pay about £100 just for them to give you the code.

An Auto locksmith with IDS will be able to add a new key for a reasonable cost.
