ARRIVAMAN
A few years ago I moved my music from my ipod to my phone , I play it via the AUX input , rather than have a phone holder attached to the screen I wanted mine lower down thus concealing any cables from view . I found this holder on amazon £2.99 including delivery , it's well made , the arm is very firm and tight thus no wobble , the holder is designed so your phone can not slip out and is also padded to protect . it sticks like super glue to your screen , as I attached mine to the center consul I popped in a couple of tiny screws ( it loves glass but not plastic ) . I was thinking of replacing my Ford radio with a new 2din all singing and dancing version but I mainly only listen to my own stuff when on long runs . SeanW
I can't get the sucker to stick to that!! I got a generic one in Asda for about a fiver. Stuck it on the drivers window for a while - fantastic until I forgot to unplug the phone lol Now mounted on the air vent with the wires tucked behind the wheel. Not ideal, but I do have a plan!! tomo89
Best phone holder I have had and still use is a make called BRODIT bit pricey but by far the best phone holder on the market?!
tomo89
You will need to order the brodit bracket for your specific car and then the mount for your specific phone which will attach to your bracket. This is where I bought mine from and so did my dad. We was both very pleased. www.dsldevelopments.com
GarethWill
I bought loads of those cheap phone holders off eBay and other places and they pretty much all broke after a couple of months of use. So I bought one of these Breffo Spiderpodium instead and mounted it in airvent and it works great! http://www.breffo.com

jeebowhite
Its a great idea, although I would be reluctant to put a screw through my dash personally. Especially if it comes to selling it later. I would be tempted to use a heavy duty 3M double sided pad or so. On my old CMAX, I went to 99p store (seriously!) and from there bought their "sticky set" (Length of velcro and a roll of double sided tape). I used the double sided tape to stick my 4 port hub to the side of the dashboard and removed all traces on selling. It was also used to stick mydashcam to the old CMAX window in the protected zone (I can tell you that took some getting off!). Not just that, but I hung a net rail above a patio door using the stuff. The thing has been tugged, pulled and battered by children and adult alike. It still hasnt come off! So if you need super 2 sided tape, look for this stuff in 99p store. Its highly unlikely you will end up disappointed!

Good tip , regarding the tape , will remember for future reference , regarding my car , due to illness looks like I will be keeping my present car for a few more years yet so trying to keep in good order wasn't to bothered therefore about a couple of small screw holes but point taken if you would of asked me 12 months ago totally agree with your comments .
jeebowhite
As I have the methods of a true story of Yorkshire man, deep pockets short arms I went with cheap but sufficient lol. The holes can be filled in with silicone I guess?
