Was that the Transit Parts Centre?

I received a phone call to discuss my order of a solitary sump plug, moments after the Paypal receipt had been emailed!

No was an online shop based in west of Ireland and distributor of a uk product called "Endotherm"

EndoTherm-500ml-Product-Image_zpszlj0hjo

I don't like my worn engine/gearbox mount getting considerably worse...  It has gone from a slight knocking when letting off the throttle quickly at high revs, to now being quite a loud "clunk" which can be felt through the steering wheel.  Strangely, it seemed to get better since I lowered the steering wheel height...  Not sure if that was just a coincidence or if it actually changed anything!

I think I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again.

I don't like fast cars that drive slow. I don't mean cautiously, I mean drive unnecessarily slow.

A Porsche 911 pulled out ahead of me on a NSL road, no problem I thought, they'll be well out of my way.

But no they proceeded to dawdle, clearly forgetting where the throttle was and how good the engine can be in those things, then sat between 40 and 50 mph.

WTH!

I don't like the rain that wasn't forecast to arrive until tonight, suddenly came on, moments after putting five washing machines worth of laundry on the line:sad:

I even checked the Met Office site before I began, having been caught out before with a large duvet

If it doesn't stop: I may have a sock crisis, there only two spare pairs in the sock drawer with daily rain forecast until Wednesday:ohmy:

That is bad, few things are worse than a sock crisis!sad.png

(Yeah, I know, Malaria, Plague, War & Famine are quite a lot worse. But first thing in the morning lack of socks does seem like a much more urgent problem than all those! How can we solve or cope with all the problems of the World without being properly dressed?)

I was expecting it to be sunny today, was going to mow the lawn and various jobs.  But I am stuck indoors, supposed to be working, but dabbling & ranting (see earlier) on here instead.

In my opinion it is more dangerous to do 10MPH under the speed limit in an NSL than it is to do 10 over.  A lot of these people think they are great drivers and safer than everybody else, but in actual fact if you did that on your driving test then you'd fail!  Speed limits aren't a target, that is true, but there is no reason you shouldn't go up to them when safe to do so.

What it says to me, if you drive unnecessarily slowly, is that you are not confident in your driving ability and therefore should not be on the road.

I don't like it when it bl----ng rains persistently when I'm on a long weekend break away.

Looking at ARDS and to be honest to me it's not exactly clear.  I went on Aston Martin racing & to do one of their programs it ranges from £6k to £23k, ARDS course at Silverstone is £595 but do you get your license through them?  There isn't really a clear triangle etc of what to do, unlike FA badges which are easy to work out

I thought it was the MSA who issue the licences but you need to do an ARDS course to meet the requirements, to get the license

Well I've just looked on MSA and clicked get started so it's now a bit clearer lol.  I can't seem to find any info on teams though, in the sense of, once you've got your license see if you can join these teams sort of thing.  MSA just says you'll need to join a club that does the motorsport your interested in

I've just phoned my mate's stepson who has been racing for around 12 years (karting and now rally) as to how would you join one of the "teams" once you've got your license.  He said the usual way is to get noticed at a club and/or regional level, by the scouts the teams employ, who in turn, will then approach you with an offer.   But has heard of people contacting the teams directly and getting taken on, however they usually have an impressive track (no pun intended) record.

Thanks GMX that's a lot more help to find that out.  My nearest club Is whitchurch but I'm not sure what they do.  I want to do circuit racing

I don't like knowing that there is absolutely nothing I can do to (significantly) improve my credit score until 2022, when 6 years will be up from the date my defaults applied.  Even if I miraculously laid my hands on over £3,000 to clear all my "bad debts", they would still be defaults as far as my credit file is concerned and satisfied or not, they would be just as detrimental in the eyes of prospective creditors.

So, basically I am vowing to stay on track until 2022 so that by then my file will only contain "up to date" credit accounts, and hopefully thereafter I can begin to build up a good score.  Even if it takes me ten years in total (six to have the defaults removed and four to build the score), I could live with that.

The irritating thing is that in 10 years I'll likely be moving away from the UK, so just as I get a decent credit score, it'll be absolutely useless...

One of my pet peeves is people parking in a parent and child space without children. I went to Tesco just now and found this.

And no, they didn't have children with them (or a blue badge).

I don't like being reminded why Peugeot 405s are so rare these days...  God damn it, 2 weeks after the MOT and it already needs a £200+ repair.

I don't like people that are too damn lazy to put their trolleys back...  It's no excuse but that's obviously why they've parked like that lol.

What have you done to it!?

I haven't done anything to it, but I think the driveshaft is buggered...  Check out my thread and see what you think!!

On a road rage rant at the moment lol, I don't like when DIsabled people park in a parent & child YET when we have tried to park in a disabled space, whinge whinge whinge, I Don't like people who don't have their kids with them & park in a parent & child space.  And this is my biggest hate of all & makes me want to be a traffic cop.  People who do under 60mph then when they get into a 30-40mph zone, they speed.  I would love to be a traffic cop simply to pull these people up, give them a big lecture & twang them with a speeding ticket.  Don't get me wrong I can sit at 55mph behind somebody but I can't sit at 50mph that just takes the mick & is driving to irritate people into making dangerous maneuvers.  Obviously if you decide to go over the NSL of 60mph then I will quite happily sit behind you & NOT give you a speeding ticket

Hear hear!  Like the 2016 Mercedes saloon in front of us this evening, which felt the need to drive at 40-45MPH on a main road, whilst constantly driving on the white line at the side of the road.  And before anybody says "he was moving over to let you overtake" - he wasn't!  Oncoming traffic was non-stop.  I know if I drove like that, I'd be pulled over in 5 seconds and breathalised etc...  But these idiots, no, they get away with it!

It irritates me more because I Failed my test 1st time, for going to slow, doing 60 in a 70 lol.  The test driver said, we don't want you to be a boy racer but we want you to drive to the limit as it doesn't encourage people to make dangerous maneuvers.  Its funny as around here we have a local FB page called Drayton Crier & some people put up, oh there is a speed camera in such a such place & you get all the irritating people commenting about how everyone should do the speed limit it's dangerous & all that jazz,

There's no chance of that for me - quite the opposite.  Because I concentrate on the road ahead (rather than my speedometer like the aforementioned idiots) I usually find myself going 70 by the time I glance down, and in my opinion that is perfectly safe for a well maintained road in dry weather.  The irony is that cars and tyres are meant to be getting more and more safe, and yet 95% of these "slow coaches" are driving cars which are less than 12 months old!!

One argument for it is that "I am taking care of my car"...  Well, sorry to break it to you - but as long as it is regularly serviced then it will just as happily cruise at 80MPH as it will at 40MPH.

The only argument for any driving around here is.  "it's Market Drayton"  lol.  Most of the drivers are ignorant, old, chavs.  Sometimes a combination of all 3.  All of them need L plates And extremely stringent conditions

Sounds like my home town.  If a driver has a full licence and is free of drink and drugs, it's a miracle.
