I don't like my evening tipple (sparkling flavoured water!) being flat...and upon further investigation...finding out it's the still version.  Why would you put them in identical bottles bar one tiny word!!

I hate sparkling water, tried it once & it was horrible.  It's the liquid equivalent of Cauliflower cheese

Would that be Tesco sparkling water with a hint of fruit juice?

I have done that more than once.

Not only are they in identical bottles, the stack them next to each other:ohmy:  and then you get customer changing their mind and putting the still bottle back on the shelf, but the on the wrong adjacent sparkling shelf:unsure:

As i tend to buy them in blocks of 28 or 32 bottles, taking advantage of the 4 bottle for £1.50, the still version has often been found lurking amongst my sparkling purchases

:ohmy::surprise:

Yep, that's it Ghana, can't argue at 4 for £1.50!  I do occasionally go for the Strathmore when I'm feeling rich though, but same issue with their bottles!

Must admit, I don't like posh sparkling water with no fruit flavour, seems to have a weird taste.  Do like cauliflower cheese though!

Todays don't like is half hours walk to the Hermes drop-off shop in the heat...for them to tell me the machine is broken and I'll have to go elsewhere (not within walking distance).

Evian I've found seems have a galvanised zinc bucket sort of after taste, not that I've licked a bucket to make the comparison

Brandy refused to drink Perrier  at Chievely Services, when I bought her a bottle for her travel bowl.  Having drunk all her tap water reserves.

I agree with you on the water, but what's wrong with cauliflower cheese!?

I don't like being held up at work for 20 minutes because an idiot customer was further confused by an idiot agent who told him complete lies.  Therefore I had to resolve the whole matter, taking 35 minutes in total.

Oh God no, I can't stand tuna...

You....are.......Seriously......Strange.  How can you like cauliflower cheese yet not tuna.  That in my mind is a sackable offence haha

Don't like half the songs on Youtube, meaning how can I never of heard of Twenty One Pilots or Lukas Graham and they have like 400mil + views on their videos, yet Gary Numan/Flock of Seagulls etc on have a few mill.  Even Duran Duran is nowhere near, nor the cult or Creedence Clear water, the vast amount of decent music that only has a few mil views.  Yet all this modern rubbish on Radio 1 has half a mil views.  Can tell I'm getting old, I only listen to Absolute Radio now.  Can't stand pop music nowadays.  Well with the exception of Justin Bieber

Blimey matt you're in a bad place. I agree so far with you regarding the 'quality ' of 'music' out there now and recently.

As I've got older I'm mellowing to a stage where I don't slag off any kind of music. My 1st love is hard rock from the age of 6. I will now listen to soul reggae etc. I've not listened to any of the national radio stations for years thanks to Internet radio.

I only go on YouTube if there's something specific I'd like to see.

I feel it's not music though, it's all about looks now & autotune.  I mean you look at Toto's singer I can't see him pulling the same amount of girls that these modern day 'artists' get.  Always makes me wonder, if any of the bands/artists that I like, would of got given a record contract if say Simone Cowpat was around back then, as his version of musical brilliance is very different to mine, well except maybe Leona Lewis.  Only thing I can't bring myself to listen to, is the soppy stuff & Anything more hardcore than Metallica.  Thrash Metal etc

That's the beauty of individualism and freedom of choice. The bands of back then either the 70's or 80's would have made it anyway because that era WAS rock based. I'd say the radio 1 artists of today wouldn't of stood a cat in hells chance back then. Even the greats like Marvin Gaye had to restyle himself to carry on.

I like what I like as does the next person.

I don't or ever liked country tho. Geez that's bad.

....Matt, did you say you like Justin Bieber? .....I'd rather own a corsa and become a proper corsa driver than listen to him!

Tuna and pasta go together so well, and with the addition of onion and extra virgin olive oil, you've get heaven on a plate:smile:

However, I still fail to understand why you don't like cauliflower cheese though.  it's even very pleasant cold the following day straight from the fridge, which a lot of foods aren't

Correct if I'm wrong, I thought Mr Bieber's music was aimed at those who are have outgrown care bears and Teletubbies: but have not yet embarked on puberty.  I didn't know he had an adult following

I hope to God I read this wrong, but did you just call me strange and then admit to liking Justin Bieber!?

I have never liked it, although the last time I tried it was when I was a child, so maybe my opinion would be different now.  I just can't get past the memory of how I used to hate it though!

Completely different with pasta though. Add plenty tomatoes some sweet corn and grated cheese melted on top

Mmmmmmmm

Most of his concerts are filled with underage girls & my age lads because he's 'throwing out some absolute bangers' or maybe he has a loyal following of vauxhall corsa's.  I haven't had Cauliflower cheese since I was a child, mum was a terrible cook & even used to use tin potatoes, that is one thing I will never feed my kids.  Tinned potatoes.. Hurl.  But yea, frozen cauliflower packet cheese sauce with tin potatoes & being made to sit at the table until you ate it all eugh, never used to eat my school dinner either as she used to give me sandwich spread, behave what kid likes sandwich spread.  I don't mean the princes tuna stuff, it was in a green & white stripey jar & was white.  Anyway I'd rather not talk about my childhood.  It wasn't very nice & as long as my kids don't ever have my growing up I'll be happy

Unless he is throwing sausages, I'm unsure as to the meaning of that...  Is it good or bad!?

Packet of colemans tuna pasta bake. Double up on the tuna and crisps and cheese. It's effing lovely and no one I've ever made it for has refused seconds. Give it a try with asparagus and green beans on the side.

Although, not all unpleasant childhood tastes leave you with age.  Brussel sprouts and spinach spring to mind as ones that do, loathed by children and loved by adults.

My childhood experience of an oyster has put me off ever trying one since.

On the cauliflower cheese front, we're not quite comparing the same things. You seem to have had the battered Corsa of caulflower cheeses compared to my Fiesta ST:tongue:

Compare this to your childhood one. A cauliflower is cut from the garden and steamed for around 15 minutes.  Meanwhile a roux is made from butter, flour, cream and milk, to which a cupful of grated vintage extra mature cheddar is incorporated.  The steamed cauliflower is quartered and placed in a ovenware dish, the cheesy roux is poured over the cauliflower and topped with another cupful of a mix of cheddar and double gloucester cheese.  It's then baked in the oven at 375°C until the the top is golden brown.

Indeed the force feeding at the childhood dinner table can indeed put you off for life.

My Dad was put put off rice pudding and desserts with skin, after the same bowl of rice pudding (with skin) returned each day for a fortnight, at every meal, after he refused to eat it the first time round and was denied having anything else to eat, until he ate the rice pudding.

A girl l know,  is still physically repulsed and traumatised by the sight of a blancmage (and also nuns for the same reason), for at the Catholic boarding school she went to, aged 8, when she refused to eat it, she was held down by a crowd of nuns and force fed it through a rubber hose:ohmy:

We use Homepride with the little man on it.  Cheryl doesn't like it, Ashley depends & Amelia is dairy free so it's a whole dish of pasta bake for me, I absolutely love the stuff.  Don't like Asparagus or Green Beans lol.  Usually just have it by itself.

That's nasty with the rubber hose lol.  Sorry Ghana while your description does get the mouth watering, I'm afraid cauliflower doesn't do it for me.  However if you can think of something for Broccoli, I will happily live with the description lol
