How flat?🤔

I love a flat pillow like 1" inch maximum, or no pillow atall,

I really don't like that Spotify premium membership has increased from 12 euro per month to 17 euro per month without prior notice;

I have five members on my family account and need to keep it going for my elderly mother whom lives alone and uses her account via an Amazon Alexa

It plays any song or artist on her request.

How do you set up an online TV Licence account, renewed mine yesterday but want an account to get emails as i have to wait for a letter,i don't have the TV licence number as it's going to take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive but it will be online.

I have looked everywhere but nothing about start an account, just Log in and the Licence number which i don't have.

Don't worry about it. Set it up when you get the information you need.

I've only just renewed ours as I wanted to watch the Euro2020 matches.  Will be cancelling it once there over.👍

We all know that was a grey carbon filter to start with.

Still grim though, I can almost smell it from here.

I don't like checking my winnings this morning to find Italy didn't win last night...  I'm pretty sure they did, unless I was watching a different game!

I can only assume extra time doesn't count?  Bit sneaky for a knock-out game!! :ermm:

Lol, I very rarely watch football but saw the end of that one. Italy most certainly won 2-1 in extra time!😀  Bit sneaky if extra time wins are excluded.

It probably would have it it had been serviced by my local SEAT main dealer! Still have been on the bill, though!😀

Train prices.

We are having a few days in Edinburgh next month.  I reckon petrol and parking might cost £100.

Even the cheapest second class tickets I could find were £360.

Yes, fares are bit of a nightmare, though Grant Shapps is supposed to be sorting things out, lol.

We usually manage a reasonable deal by booking at the earliest possible moment, and normally do it in person rather than over the net - the staff at our nearest big station are usually pretty helpful and seem to know a few tricks to get a better deal. And we qualify for a Senior Railcard which gets you about a third off, and is well worth the £70 for 3 years if you do a fair number of trips. We normally do, but I'd just renewed ours before Covid struck so haven't used them yet!😠

Must say if I have to drive into a city I'd much rather do Edinburgh. Been in by car a few times while staying in the Tweed valley area and found it relatively easy (compared to most places in England).

Might be of interest to you if you are in Edinburgh over a weekend. Edinburgh Council have started to charge for on street parking on Sunday afternoons now up till 6.30 in the city centre whereas previously it was free.

Cheers bud, we are Mon to Fri but appreciate the thought.

Plug Top Power Supplies

A 13A Plug might always have the cable coming out at the bottom, but plug tops do not follow this convention.  Some out of the top, which means the cable will then hang down from a wall mounted socket, and some won't fit into some timers !  Some USB plug tops are the same, USB sockets in all directions !

Why can't all plug top cables come out the bottom!

Guess which ***** completed a full weeks shopping and scanned it all through the till before realising he'd left his wallet at home...

They wonder why city centres are struggling. Our local city council give a (small) discount on car park charges if you display a residents badge. The badge used to be free but now they charge £20 for it.

Alternatively you could park free at the park and ride site and use the park and ride bus but that would cost £6.60 for a couple (£2.40 for a couple of OAPs like us.) But as the normal service bus stops right outside our house we can just hop on that for free! Guess which is our preferred option?😀

We have an excellent bus service here too but the roads are getting worse.

Since Covid many through routes have been made car free and cycle lanes with permanent bollards have sprung up everywhere causing chaos because where previously busy traffic light junctions had two lanes, now they only have one so they snarl up all the roads and junctions leading up to them because of the backlog of traffic.

We had a similar problem with the bus lanes even before Covid. As a regular bus user myself I've no objection to bus lanes in principle, but they opened them up to cyclists. So you get a bus with maybe 50 passengers having to crawl along at the pace of the slowest cyclist, and the driver can't pull out to overtake because the lane to his right is clogged up with all the other traffic which can't use the bus lane.😀

What's a bus? Or a bus lane?

Edit, just checked what a bus and bus lane is. Apparently these multiple occupancy transportation vehicles are available in my area. I could walk 15 mins to get one to work then 2 buses and another 20min walk . 2 1/2 hrs for a 20 min journey by car. Oh and the buses would make me 1 1/2 hrs late every day . And home at 7.30pm instead of 4.50pm.

Even a bus into town isnt worth while . 15mins walk to nearest bus stop . 35 mins walking and I'm in town.

Maybe not use the bus just yet then.
