Things I Don't Like

I really don't like finishing work tonight at 23:00 get in to the car; start engine, turn on lights,

Drive out the gate and realise that both dipped beam bulbs aren't working, knower does the high beam unless I use it by holding it in,

So I've had to drive home holding the light stalk in to permanently activate the high beam,

I'll investigate further tomorrow morning; of all things to go wrong with the car though; I work evenings and nights I'll need the lights not like I can avoid driving at night. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Update; well first I didn't sleep very much last night, but this morning I checked all fuses, got the Haynes manual out and checked all the earth points and still nothing was wrong but the dipped beam or high beam wouldn't function, only parking lights and fogs.

Then on my lunch break in work I tried this: to see if the GEM was recieving signal from the light switch and stalk;

The test confirmed reciperation and to my all out shock & amazement; the lights are now functional as normal 😂 Go Wan The Twenty Ten Focus 1.6TDCi only 334,542km on the factory turbo

You know: it's a real surprise when the car fails on headlights and all your expectations are on the turbo 😂

Make sure you manage your sleep schedule. Isn't good for your health not giving your body proper rest.

I work continental shift, and have three kids one whom sounds like a bouronn on the stairs and there almost finished school for the summer; so my sleep patterns will be quite interesting.

I've also got serious acid reflux the past few weeks, I wake up with thick clear saliva in my throat and continuous burning burps, only way to stop the burn is to blow outwards as the burp happens,

I also don't like that last night someone put two screws in to the centre of my rear passenger side tire,

Realised when I got to work this morning, lucky changed to spare on my lunch break and had the puncture fixed on the way home; so if they see the car they won't know that it affected me atall,

Have gained some jealous neighbors since I've been working throughout the pandemic and recently had a carpenter in for three days 🤷🏼‍♂️ can't live by some people,

Neighbor is hash and cans seven days per week; absolute waster, I suspect it was him, this would be the fifth time I'm three years,

Same side same corner obviously not the same tyre but the same location and always self tapping wood screws.

I'll eventually get a camera system fitted, not huge damage cost me 12euro just unnessacery and extremely childish behaviour 🙄

I posted in here a few weeks ago about buying an AC unit for the flat...  But the need for exhaust hose is making it impossible, could've done with one today as temps are rising so looking into alternatives...

I wondered if any of you have a Dyson 'pure cool' tower?  Silly expensive new but a bit more reasonable from Dyson's refurb shop on eBay.  I'm interested to know if they can actually cool the room though, or if they just blow hot air around like a conventional fan?

From what I've just read it just blows the existing temp air around.

Why don't you leave the fridge/freezer doors open? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Put a tent around the freezer door

Because my Magnums would melt!

I know it doesn't have an AC type system inside, but they separate the 'cool' one from the normal purifier so I'm guessing there must be some difference. :g:

Hmm, I think Dyson are just being pretty sneaky with their wording...all listed as 'purifies the room, heats the room...cools you'...

Pretty sneaky. It will not cool the room but will cool you if you let the airflow blow over you. Whether it is any better than any other fan is debatable other than it may have a more concentrated airflow for one person and may be quieter, as opposed the big fans.

My big fan blows hot air most the time. Takes a while to turn on. Good job she can't see this.😂😂😂😂😂😂

Sad to hear that now this time my other great gran has passed away yesterday 😓. Caught covid and went hospital on Friday and sadly passed away peacefully on Saturday morning.

I was working on Friday in the A&E ward so not really happy I missed her then.

2 months ago my dad's gran passed away and now my mum's gran passed away. Covid really is a stupid thing and I no longer have any great grandparents now.

Stupid thing here is my great gran lived with her youngest son and his family. Now this son years ago had a problem with his brother (my granddad) and has never spoken to him for over 20 years since. I don't know what's going to happen when the funeral comes. Either their other brother who is mutual between the brothers doesn't tell us or something happens where we get together which I'm only gonna think will be a argument between the brothers.

My condolences to you Zain...

Sorry for your loss,

Thanks guys. So funeral is arranged today. Bit of a bad situation where the mutual brother between my grandad and his other brother is telling my mum to let my grandad know today that his mum passed away and that he may not be able to come and see her face one more time before she gets burried to to his other brother who might cause trouble.

Sadly this disagreed brother of his may start trouble and says he might divorce his wife and ruin his other brother's relation if he finds out they were still keeping relations with my grandad and his family.

Went hospital at 7:30 in the morning and thankfully the nurse in charge let me go and told me how to contact for when I may need to inform them for someone like this.

I hope none of these people sign up to the fordownersclub which is becoming increasingly like wickiLeaks 😂 who needs soaps when you keep in contact with family 🤷🏻‍♂️🤯 sounds like you're great uncle is Samuel Jackson

Freeze it, take out what you need when you need it 👍

Only works for sliced bread though! 😃

I'm sure you could use one of those electric carving knives to get through an uncut loaf!

In fairness I do freeze it, but don't bother splitting it as I get through a loaf in 4 days and they should last that long with all the additives!   It was probably my fault for not checking dates before they went in the freezer tbf, just annoying that it's 2 in a week!

I used to do the same as Ian, just pick the worst green bits off and eat it. It seems, though, that even the bread apparently without mould contains stuff you can't see, plus some people have an allergy to penicillin contained in mould.

So you can get away with it the odd time (unless you have the allergy), but it's not good to make a habit of it!😀

I sprayed all my window frames with 'spider repellent' a couple of weeks ago...  Opened the lounge window for some air yesterday and one of those huge black spiders was already living in it! :shocking:

You can try some peppermint or lemon scent in a spray bottle to reduce them.  Or my Nan used to keep conkers in every corner...but you'll struggle to find any of those in June!  I'm not convinced that one isn't just an old wives tale anyway lol.

Any 'fresh' food is going off from the moment it's been prepared of course.  Just depends how 'off' it is by the time you eat it, and the strength of each individuals immune system, as to whether it'll make you ill I guess.

I don't like the fact that my rear shocks are leaking on a two year old car that's only done 9k.  Yes they will be sorted under warranty but that's still bad.  I've never taken it on track or off road or anything.
