I didn't like turning on the news to find dozens killed in Paris with another 100 hostages in a theater at the minute,

These terrible things will continue during our life time unfortunately, and it will be the same brainwashed fools doing it.

This isn't something that will always happen somewhere else,

One of those fools who blew themselves up in London lived a stones throw from my aunties house in Beeston Leeds.

I was going to go off on a little "I'm offended by your comment" joke rant, pretending that it's offensive to state the blindly obvious that it's the same damn bunch that clearly can't stop pestering other people... But I realised it's a PC world we live in and I'll probably offend someone on here by doing so...

The damp dog smell :( permeating through house; as she dries out: following the 27 mile walk in driving rain, we have just returned from.

I quite like the damp dog smell.

Suppose I have to be used to it with 3 of the little beggars :d

You'd have to be with three.

Are yours dense furred or fine?

Mine's got fairly fine fur, so she dries out relatively quickly - thus limiting the extent of her doggy aroma

Collie with a double coat, Springer with double coat and Mali with thin coat but moults like a mad thing.

I go through a vacuum cleaner a year and dog hair free clothing/food/bed a distant memory and a food/treat/supplement store like a branch of Pets at Home.

Enough leads, chains and straps hanging in the hall to delight the most fervent bondage fan.

Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Mines half border collie and half Welsh springer and moults for England. :D Despite turning 15 last month, she still has energy of a one year old

I seem to have two of your dogs and the attribute of the other combined in one dog. :D

I've rebuilt and repaired my vacuum cleaner so many times, I think I must have replaced everything at least five times, it's become like Trigger's Broom, in Only Fools and Horses.

She must get through close to 90Kg chicken carcases a year, countless bones and she's quite partial to a oily fish

Like you, wouldn't be without her though

You must have a sprollie then  my eldest has a stollie (staffie/ collie).

No seriously for a minute, these so called 'designer' breeds do my nut in, if you want a mongrel/ cross go to the nearest shelter they've got plenty of them in there rather than pay big bucks as someone's called it a stupid combo name

Mine is a rescue dog from the Dogs Trust

I do however, agree with you :) :)

Dogs :) what wonderful creatures! Wet dog smell doesn't bother me... It's the "I found something so absolutely disgustingly smelly on my walk that I thought I'd roll in it to impress everyone" that makes me want to clock our four legged monster...

I think I speak for everyone when I say ISIS attacks. Awful throughout and a quick look on Facebook of all places shows the support of the rest of the world against these 'people'.

Substitute as you will.

I've just posted a massive rant at all the racist posts I've seen

I'm disgusted at the people who are using Paris as an excuse to shut our borders and kick all the Muslims out!

In fact, I am ashamed to be associated with them. I can only hope that it is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction to the recent atrocities.

I don't like that another bunch of mindless idiots (I did type another two words there starting with "R" and "A" but thought against it) killed over 60 people in Paris last night.

I also don't like the fact that I feel so ill that I can't research it fully and only have basic details of what happened. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to read all the articles and take it in.

Regardless of the exact circumstances of this attack, something needs to be done. If only we could line these people up I would be more than happy to spend an entire week pulling the trigger on each and every one.

What I don't like is this thread as degenerated very recently into a political thread. Where only a few are commenting. Why not start your own thread chaps?

Touche.

We can leave it now. I think we are all clear we dont like ISIS or the events going on :p

The blister that has formed on my small offside toe, from Saturday's 27 mile walk in the rain with the dog.

I don't like this weather....

Does anyone have snow? We've got zilch down here, it's just cold and wet...

Also apologies to those left reading and rolling eyes to the rabble I started/was involved in...

We've got rain again, not as windy as yesterday though.

Another dislike is the "miles left" thing in the focus (mk2 that is)... Does anyone know how accurate that is? For instance we went for dinner into the sticks to meet some friends, it was 42 miles away, and I saw I had 77 miles left, admittedly I ragged it as we were late, but by the time I arrived, in theory I should have had 30 miles left, but even if I said because of my driving I lost an extra 10-15 miles, there is no way I should have had a brown trouser moment of running out of fuel in the middle of the sticks at 11pm!!! Made it into the fuel station with appx 3 miles left apparently!

Not sure how accurate it is on fords, but my spare car, (Saab 95 2.3 se turbo), has a super accurate one......if it says ten miles left, I can categorically state (from hard earned and bitter experience), there is ten miles left in the tank lol......never had that problem in the focus though, which is our daily driver

I've taken it to be 'live' at the precise moment but varying with how I drive sort of calculation, but again unsure as to it's accuracy.

When we went out last week, it was going up and down, depending on my driving style

I've always kept an emergency 5L fuel can in the boot/cargo/behind the back seat, so as to prevent brown trouser moments in awkward to refuel area

I'm only guessing that maybe I did drive like such a pleb that I burned far more fuel than I should have... Maybe 3 miles left was accurate, just with a diesel I was getting close to stopping before the fuel ended and walking...problem with that time of night is that by the time you get somewhere, it could be closed...

Friends bought be a jerry can for my bday as it was the second time in as many weeks that I'd done that -_-

Remaining miles are calculated constantly from driving characteristics.

I once did a run in my mk2 diesel from Plymouth to Exeter (40 mile trip) with 80 miles left and ended the trip with 80 still available.

I love it when my car gives me free fuel.

If I keep the car using less than 5.0 Litres per hour, I can more often than not end with more miles than I started!

Discovering I'd left mobile data connection on and not switching it back wifi connection, on my other phone

Balance zero'd on nothing in particular
