I actually took another pic of the rest of their car and their plate in case they came back whilst I was gone and damaged my car. So to name and shame:

I do that hahaha....

That's a particularly good idea :) , which I can't say I've ever thought of doing before

When you buy a new laptop from a shop then get it back and a nice white dead pixel on a black screen.

Misremembering an ebay auction end time, that you had purposely bookmarked, to snipe it in the closing seconds: only to discover it ended yesterday at 5:50pm and not today. :(

Furthermore, seeing it being sold for fraction of what you were prepared to pay :(

Been there more than once.

The past couple of days have been damp and dull. I have covered quite a number of miles over the last two afternoons and I have noticed that some drivers are reluctant to put their lights on until it is virtually dark. Even then I have seen a few driving with just their parking lights on. Now, I might be generalising here, but it seems that the darker the colour of the car the later the lights go on with drivers of black cars being the worst offenders. There are good of drivers of dark cars who are considerate and careful motorists who light up in good time but this has been my observation over the last couple of days.

We get this in Dorset, and like you say, generally speaking the darker the car, the later the illumination. Black BMW's and VW Passats seem to be main offender, here

Conversely, the silver BMW likes to drive lit up like xmas tree with everything including his rear fog light illuminated, even when it's neither dark nor foggy

Nightmare, and that's usually not covered by the warranty. I was a bit more lucky with my laptop because the one dead pixel it had was black and near the top of the screen, so I just ignored it.

Screens are permitted to have a certain percentage of dead pixels and still pass quality control.

I don't really see the point of using the sidelights, it is either bright enough to require no lighting or dark enough to require lighting - in which case the dipped beams go on.

Although it is the lesser of the two evils, I do hate seeing cars driving in bright sunshine with their dipped lights on - it is completely unnecessary and actually more dangerous due to the distraction.

I actually tend to drive round with my sidelights on in most vehicles... I guess it's a poor man's DRL... I find there is more chance of people seeing the twinkle of Led sidelights and therefore me...

Of course studies and analysis may prove wrong, but I find people do tend to see something "different" to the standard front, when you have sidelights on and with the monotonous roads anything that helps can't be all bad...

DRLs are pointless. I can see a whole car very well without little Christmas lights on the front thank you very much.

Tbh drls have their uses. For instance exiting my in laws road which is a tight turning as it is onto a main road, drls are easier to see in the little fishbowl mirror than moving cars due to all the parked cars coming up the side anyway, and in rain / snow the little mirror is next to useless unless you're looking for drls or headlights

Before mine I was 100% with the pp and used poor man's drls

Each to their own... I don't see why they should be silly little lights though, why not just go the Volvo route and have the dipped beams running all the time? Makes more sense.

I was going to try and get a street view of the road but I can only find one of the Google car going up the main road and not on the side road  such as is how tight it is up there :)

They might be pointless to you and your vision, but considering some of the near encounters I've had with other motorists I'm getting close to going down that scooter route of having millions of mirrors and flags...

The factory fitted standard D.R.L.'s on my Mondeo TXS are as far from '' little Christmas lights '' as it's possible to be i.m.o.

You know what you are 100%,the person said that it aint covered under warranty but seen its only 2 hours old

its ok.

Thats bad i think, you watch a film and when a dark/black back ground you get a white dot.

Would it not have been covered under a form of returns policy anyway? Don't we as buyers automatically get to return a product that is faulty?

I think you might have a point. Maybe if the dead pixel is distracting and ruining the experience of using the laptop, you might have the right to return it for a repair or replacement considering it's brand new.

Being given yet another bright red courtesy car, I loathe red cars

Red cars go faster. :D

What's wrong with yours? Are they painting it a proper colour?

Sorry haha :P

Lol I've got issue with my keyless entry / start, as although the key is present it's not always regonising it's there at all (see other thread )

It's weird, it's a London thing I assume, as i associate red with buses (smelly, fumey, horrible buses  )

Oh I see, what car have you got?

Strange, I associate white cars with Transit vans, or ones they forgot to paint.

They've given me a zetec 100ps a real come down from my tit x 125ps

It's got no toys *whine*

EDIT

I take that back, its a 1.25 82ps *whines harder*
