The Sat Nav in my car (aka me!) is a bit old & dodgy. It has a very strong tendency to take me to the place I went to last time, rather than the place I want to go to this time!  If I have a passenger with me who is alert, they usually say, as I sail merrily round a roundabout, "shouldn't we be going that way", so we just continue on round for another try, making everyone a bit dizzy.

I can recall doing that sometimes in my 20's, but it has become much more common in the last few years, I can't think why!

Also just had a shock when I went to check the size of my current trainers.  Not the size or even the brand I thought...  I've had them 4 years as well.

 

Wonder how comfortable these are.

I don't like not getting reminders about MOTs running out!

Let's just say that the Ecosport won't be going anywhere until we can get it booked in and the Focus better not have anything major wrong as it runs out just before Christmas! Better try and get it booked in somewhere 🙄

Signed up for reminder on the Focus now, will get the Ecosport done when it's MOTed.

 

Edit to add. App apparently didn't take 'My Garage ' info over when I got a new phone, so it's my fault! 🤷😃

I spent Sunday night Monday morning in A+E, blue lighted in at 23.30, 2 hours to run the basic checks, corridors full of trolleys and the 6 people in the converted room I was in were in a similar position all sat in push along chairs. They dropped by occasionally with tea and water. We all felt we'd been forgotten, then shift change at 8am, blood pressures temps etc taken as allegedly overdue. 9am transferred to Ambulatory care, within an hour we were triaged bloods, histories X-ray for those that needed and discharged for those that needed. I was on one of the first through the system so didn't see what happened to the rest. I was knackered no sleep, no night-time Cpap. Got home had 2 hours sleep to get me by then struggled the rest of the day before bedtime. Even tho they're back at work the system is still broken and the obvious money that has been spent on fancy rooms computers etc when it should be spent on staff and basics.          RANT OVER

I used to get service and MOT reminders from my local independent Ford dealer.

Then they got taken over by a bigger chain and I started getting lots of marketing BS, so I asked them to stop sending it.

Then I got no reminders either and was told because I opted out of marketing their system couldn't send those. So I opted back in.

I now get all the marketing again, but still no reminders!

Can’t you all just make note on your phone/tablet/laptop/pc calendar for the MoT and set an alarm for a day or week etc before?

I did that in the end. So now I get reminders on my phone.

Could do I suppose, but now got the app set up again and I'll go old school and write it on next year's calendar 😃

Lol, not every "moment of passion" is carefully planned with the birth date of the consequences in mind!😀

Mine coincides with a summer bank holiday so I hate it when my wife suggests "let's do something for your birthday" 'cos it's always busy and expensive then!

Milestone gifts - hmmm, taking account of my interest in transport, I was once presented with a railway mile marker but I don't think that's the sort of thing you have in mind!😀

But my 60th birthday isn't until Feb, not Dec. You got plenty of time to decide what gift.
