I don't like the fact that B.A. want 12k for 2 return 1st class tickets LHR - JNB next April . . . . we may have to slum it in Biz class :(

12k or 1.2k?

Joys of being 6'6" is I generally get pity and moved to a seat with more leg room...

£12,639.70 ! !

Yikes... That is ludicrous. You could probably buy your own plane and fly it for that!

And I was moaning how much it would cost us for 10 nights in the Maldives next year 1st class, I now consider it a steal lol. I don't like snapping my windows Heko in half and now having 3 perfect ones and one snapped.

I don't like when the cashier gives your card/change back together with the receipt! What's the point of handing them all at once...you're left with no hands free to take your purchase and not able to put anything away correctly. Either end up mashing the receipt and change in my pocket with a huge bulge or trying to force it all into the wallet card slot. When they could just give your change/card to put away while receipt prints then give that to you as you take the purchases!!

However thats not on the same level as £12k for a plane ticket...I'd want a shuttle to the moon for that. :D

I haven't found there to be much difference between First and Business! Anything is better than scum class (joking  ) after all. My dad came back from JNB on BA last week, flew Business on a 747 and said it was fine.

Yep, been there, components seem to wait until about a hour or so, after a you've done clean OS install: to fail. PSU's and RAM like to fail on my PCs, haven't a graphics card fail for a while.

Whilst I know, it's not a good idea to have them on the floor: there's not enough space on the desk/shelves - they do get far too dusty on the floor :(

The only parts to fail on me until now have been Hard Drives,

I used to upgrade parts all the time, so never had them as long as I've had my current parts.

Still on a P55 Motherboard with slow SATA2 ports, wish it was that that died lol.

My desk has a PC shelve 6 inch from the floor, but my PC is too tall so the shelf is on the floor with PC on it.

Next build is Micro ATX so I can use that shelf and get the PC away from the dusty carpet.

With you on that!!!! The cashiers are brilliant when they give you change and then receipt! Like you it drives me insane to receive a receipt with change piled on top... "Yeh, thanks for that"...

Yes, that's particularly irksome

Oddly enough, the only hard drives I've had fail, were retail/consumer ones. One of which, was the notorious IBM deskstar deathstar in the 1990's. The other a Samsung, in the mid noneties

I usually only fit enterprise class hds, but on these two occasions: I didn't have one to hand - I was too impatient to wait for a delivery.

So, I went and bought retail/consumer hard drives, locally. So, I could finish my build.

Both failed, fortunately, both still in warranty. The IBM failed within a week! The Samsung managed 8 months.

I've never bought a retail/consumer hard drive since :D

I should reconfigure my shelf unit, in here. Making the shelves themselves deeper, although I could still only get three PCs on per level, having done so! :o

I don't like treading on a partially eaten goldfish in the hall  Now, a squashed partially eaten goldfish!

Which was completely camouflaged by the carpet pattern. No doubt, one of the cats, is responsible.

I wonder where they got it from, no-one nearby has a pond

Perhaps a Heron dropped it !.

I'm not suggesting it dropped it in your hall, :) but while it was flying over your house, and then the cat brought it indoors.

Seagulls used to drop all manner of fishy remains in & near our garden when we lived in Bracklesham Bay, West Sussex - although we had no cats to snaffle the '' gifts '' inside thank goodness :)

That's probably more likely.

The dog has returned, very damp and quite muddy from her extra walk with the neighbour

Going to the vets to collect a script for the jack Russell and upon collection told ' we don't do the Advantage drops anymore...but this Prinovox is just as good??

Well it isn't....

bahhhhh

You weren't offered Advocate??

When I asked for the best one some years ago, when Frontline wasn't working on Brandy, our vet said Advocate was the best - which she's had ever since.

The cats have Stronghold, not sure if Stronghold is available for dogs

Our little pooch gets Advocate

That's the thingy advocate, which worked great, this other stuff is duff....

Try a different vet, if they won't prescribe/supply it.

You can be registered at more than one vets practice: unlike with humans and GPs

Brandy is registered at the vets I've always used and she's registered at another vet within the Pets @ home store. After she got a bladder infection on a Sunday, when our vet has very limited hours. She can receive treatment at both now; if need be.

I don't like IDIOTIC customer service advisers. I go above and beyond for customers, and have to put up with crap like this when the shoe is on the other foot?

My first email, clearly explaining what I want to know:

post-15085-0-60251300-1449864179_thumb.p

A holding response, which is fine:

post-15085-0-84230100-1449864181_thumb.p

Then the response to my question...

post-15085-0-93495100-1449864184_thumb.p

And my somewhat angry response, perfectly justified if you compare my question with her answer:

post-15085-0-68487100-1449864187_thumb.p

No doubt her shift ended at 18:00 and she just wanted to wrap the email up and leave rather than getting the information I wanted.

for dogs and cats why not but them through a sheep dip :D

Her replies are almost bot/stock software like. And she's clearly not even glanced at your original email

Exactly. At work we have "scripts" for replying but our advisers actually THINK before composing the email to make sure it is relevant and helpful.

The dog might tolerate it: the cats wouldn't

Bunty the older cat, even loathes getting a solitary paw wet, when she slips off the sink, and a paw is dunked in the washing up bowl

if the cat don't like the sheep dip hold it down with a stick ;)
