williamweb
Yep,makes short work at taking wheel nuts off.Loosen first with a hand wrench then use the impact wrench, one quick squeeze of the trigger and the nut is on the floor. dezwez
when we refit wheel nuts we always torque wrench to finish :)
williamweb
Can't fault that,I don't even think tyre fitters torque but I might be wrong just never seen it. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC That defeats the purpose of an impact wrench to me lol. If you have to undo the bolts manually with a bar your impact gun isn't big enough

williamweb
Probably because sometimes it can be a bit brutal holding the gun,it's quicker so it's all good.ha ha. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
dezwez
the one with mains cable is a heavy old lump but its fast and powerful :)
TomsFocus
I bought the mains powered one back in 2012 - I have a battery drill that's always out of charge so prefer mains where possible myself lol! Undoes hub nuts and crank pulley bolts without issue for me, has had a lot of use/abuse in that 3.5 years and still going strong. I do also have a 3ft breaker bar though...quicker to use that than get the gun out sometimes lol. As for loosening wheel bolts with a bar before the gun...that is a bit of a fail. :P

stef123
i will use this on all bolts on loosening no point having a dog and barking yourself :) Good lad. I would be interested to see how you get on with it. I use an Ingersoll rand air impact gun with about 1100Nm of breakaway torque. It's surprisingly quiet too.
iantt
Even this 3/8 battery one will undo wheel nuts, lol
stef123
You had any bother with yours Ian? I know of a few guys having trouble with newer snap on guns, more so the 1/2 stuff though.
