djsubtronic
Hey guys I've had this problem on and off since I got the car 1.5 years and 30000 miles ago. It only happens sometimes, and usually when I've been driving for a long time in slow traffic (think Central London traffic at 6pm on a weekday). Sometimes when I shift from 1st to 2nd, I get the dreadful gear grind. Especially if shifting quickly. Now it could just be that I am not pressing the clutch all the way down, but it doesn't seem to happen on any other gear, just 2nd. And occassionally, even if I am very deliberate with the shift to 2nd, pressing the clutch down all the way slowly, waiting a brief moment, then switching, it (very occassionally under the above traffic/long time driving situation) will still grind. It isn't really a concern but I just thought I'd post this here anyway in case there's anything I should look out for or get checked out as to why this happens?
