problemchild
hello knowledgeable streetka owners... i am off to collect (i hope) a streetka tomorrow in blue. Its only a base model but the price seems good. as is my way, i've bought a set of cream leather seats and door cards as well to fit. now the seats are heated (not that i'm worried about that) BUT given that it looks like the switch is on the seat base itself, are these cars fitted for but not with? i.e. is the loom there to plug into? and if so, is there anything else i need? Thanks in advance JJ

137699
Hello JJ- fancy seeing you over here! Is this StreetKa to replace the ForFour or is it as well as? Sorry can't help with your query - never heard of heated seats on a Ka before...

problemchild
well picking these up tomorrow... so i'll let you all know what i find. it could be a blessing that the switching is all built into the seat base as you can see, there is clearly a connector JJ
Lee67
If your lucky the heated seats wiring loom might be already fitted under the carpets..

problemchild
had a fun time between downpours fitting the seats :) Little guide.... simplicity: 2/10 cost: i got the 2 seats and door cards for £50 but ive seen black interior for £30 tools needed: 1 x 10mm socket time needed: 1hr max each seat has 5 x 10mm bolts all hidden under carpet flaps (1 each side of seat at front, 1 on the outer rear and 2 on the inside rear) there are no cables for seatbelt pre-tensioners or side airbags so don't even have to disconnect the battery. undo the bolts then slide seat forward and tilt forward to access rear. folding roof down helps remove them. and a good opportunity for a hoover once out the carpet flap on the outer side near the sill can be lifted to find...... ......wiring for the heated seat loom - yay!! (mine is a bog basic streetka so I would assume all have this) fit new seats, connect the wiring loom, no fuses or relays needed as the switch is on the seat itself :) and the seatbelt is integral to the seat base as well. fitted and seats get hot!!..... to fit the door cards remove the 4 screws 1 x door handle, 1 x behind door handle (be careful removing the handle as the clips can snap easily) , 1 x bottom of door, 1 x door pocket) then pop off the push clips all round (short sharp pull) the electric window switches pop out from the handle and disconnect them refit in reverse making sure all the clips are secured and no broken ones are left in the door JJ
