Hi all, Have a 1.8 TDCI C-MAX and have started to get a whirring noise when I put the gas down, Any ideas guys?

Sounds like a bearing has gone.
Does it make the noise only under acceleration or when coasting with the clutch in?
If it makes the noise with clutch in then check wheel bearings.
If it only does it with clutch engaged then check thrust bearing or layshaft bearing.
