Mr Singh
the engine management sorts itself out so the driver knows no better. the only indication you will know thats its carried out a regen is the oil level will rise. if the oil level is low after service DONT top it up as you'll possible find it goes up

daveyboy123
I remember someone on these forums doing a poll asking for people to check if their oil levels rose overtime. And if I remember correctly the levels stayed same
Mr Singh
not from personal experiences. we would renew the oil and filter on the 2.7 TDV6 engines, take them for a forced regen with our diagnostic equipment down the motorway and when we got back the oil level was higher than before we set off. with volvo it would bring the 'engine system service' light on and it would be an oil level code logged and volvo had brought out a chart with the correct oil level for there diesel engines, some of which ford use aswell
