Marks12
That's mine off. Had a really nice Richbrook holder and it seems a waste. Need to find another purpose lol send it my way we Irish still have to display our discs :( so yeah the Halfords in Ireland i can imagine will get in all the un sold tax discs from the UK stores heck they probably get so much they will do a buy this get a tax disc holder free. "Sir here is a free tax disc holder" Me: "But i already have one" Cashier "well now you have two"
Stoney871
Some will still need holders for residential permits etc.
jeebowhite
sadly most permits around my area are of a square nature about 12x12 cm so the tax disc holder is useless. One thing I would use mine for though Is parking tickets at pay and display, once nearly got a ticket for the fact the wind blew through the car as I was closing the door and took it off the dash. Got back to the car to find a warden inspecting it. I opened the car got the ticket and showed him and he said it happens quite often and suggested the second permit holder for tickets. Have to say I have done it ever since, one for permit one for tickets, so I will likely convert the tax disc holder
Stoney871
I use a plastic clip I got in Halfords for parking tickets. It's stuck to the lower right side of my windscreen. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=251626948204&alt=web
karlos1987
I forgot about this. I'll be removing mine straight away when I finish work. Might replace it with 1 of the club stickers I'm yet to put on the car. Lol.
Brycie
Just removed my tax disc & holder. Did the renewal online as usual, but no option on the website to set up direct debit, which I heard was goi.g to be an option from now on.
Swiftfocus69
That's mine off. Had a really nice Richbrook holder and it seems a waste. Need to find another purpose lol Use as a coffee or Tea mug coaster. ( put a piece of plastic in to cover the tax disc) ,earn browny points off the missus for not getting cup rings on the furniture .
Goodkat
Just removed my tax disc & holder. Did the renewal online as usual, but no option on the website to set up direct debit, which I heard was goi.g to be an option from now on. Government in 'Website Doesn't Work' shocker! This does not surprise me even in the slightest bit. I expect innocent parties will be fined too, as the DVLA are hopeless. Brycie
Yeah, it took me ages to get through the process as the site kept hanging, or crashing or something. Did get it done in the end, but I guess the DD option must be a little further down the line. Maybe that's a good thing - I'd hate to get too close to my overdraft limit & have the DD returned unpaid one month without me realising & getting caught on an ANPR due to lack of organisational skills with my finances. Kye
My actual tax disk lives in the glove box now until I'm sure everything is working OK.
Swiftfocus69
On another ford forum .say`s Direct Debit only comes in in November . Which say`s everything about not being able to organise a pe* up in a brewery ,why they couldn`t sync the 2 to start at the same time .
jamesm182
This just gave me a laugh.. I actually feel quite sorry for Richbrook as this must have been a good chunk of their business!
Philf1
Halfords will probably be having a sale for tax disc holders and all the C***a drivers will be flocking in for them. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app
Stoney871
If they were marked 'Corsa Limited Edition' they would be gone in seconds.
jamesm182
If they were marked 'Corsa Limited Edition' they would be gone in seconds. You mean like the actual "Limited Edition" Corsa models that I see everywhere I look ;)
Stoney871
Limited editions for limited minds? :p
SeanW
Actually, it was a very clever marketing tactic on Vauxhall's part... The "Limited" in "Limited Edition" actually refers to build quality - or lack of it, as though the budget was...limited... Of course, all the chavs see it as being rare because of the limited edition badge :p
luke.grimbley
I actually feel quite sorry for Richbrook as this must have been a good chunk of their business! This is true, that was actually what made me visit their site. Ended up ordering car mats from them as my old Ford ones were wrecked. Hopefully they find business in other area's as I like there products as a whole.
chrisroberson99
Taken the one out of my mums car so far, can't do my dads as he's on holiday! Only seen one car without a disc so far (excluding my neighbours brand new 64 plate Mazda 3)
Turvey
We've just been told by our local radio station that we don't have an ANPR car up here the whole time!! Verified by a serving police officer during an interview.
