Tom HFord
My fiesta has made a squeaking noise which comes and goes as i'm driving down the road, it is very high pitches and is definitely coming from the rear left wheel, I had the wheel bearing replaced 2 months ago and it didn't solve the problem, anyone experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions? Thanks
isetta
does applying the brake affect it, like touching the foot brake a little so it does not slow down much or pulling the hand brake on lightly? I am wondering if it is something to do with brake shoes/brake drum
Tom HFord
pulling the handbrake up very slightly makes the noise stop does this mean i should replace the shoes etc?

I would say it would be a good idea to have a look at the brakes. It could be they are sticking a bit, and just need cleaning out and a smear of copperslip on the ends of the shoes etc. Or it could be the linings are getting badly worn, or the pistons sticking. Until examined, with the drums removed, it would not be possible to say which.
