Maybe the distances in the search are as the crow flies because if she had to calculate a route for every single one it would take ages.

Well it won't be F10  that'll be in about 3 years when its already well out if date

I have updated to maps 9 using alexp999 download.

recently done a long journey and noticed the voice on sat Nav stalled or hiccup occasionally.

any suggestions?

Do a master reset, the symptoms you state are because the voice files haven't been indexed yet.

Maybe should have got it OTA 🤷‍♂️

Seems to be a glitch reported by a number of people regardless of where they got the F9 download from. In my case it appeared to clear itself after a while

Same here, and mine cleared itself after a few weeks as well. My downloaded was the one offered by the Ford Sync site.

They need to have a good rethink of the voice files, mine stutters a little, there is a very long delay between asking to find a POI and then her asking for the POI name, and for goodness sake please teach her how to say ring road. I find in 3.4 she understand far far less of what I say than in 3.3, and some commands just do not work at all.

If there was an easy way to go back to 3.3 I would in a heartbeat.

Just go to the Cyanlabs as I suggested to download the maps in the first place, or Google the filename. I'll give you a hint:

As stated many times before here get the Alexp999 F9 ,( on here somewhere) download its very straightforward  ,works and is exactly the same as the one on the Ford download site as it came from their server.

Today the 22GB update maps appeared on the Portugal Ford website ... I downloaded it to a USB stick and left the car for almost 1 hour with the engine running but when I got there it was off. How long does it take to update? do you know?

Only idles for 30mins max. That might be adjustable. 

We should surely be looking for F10 now

Just got F9 ! Which some owners waited couple of years for! 
Fords deal with google will change things . But I think it’s in a couple of years..

About 1 hour for the complete update.

Yep looks like F9 maps is finally available at 22gb, and an estimated 80 mins to install time

I've never actually used the sync nav due to apple car play, does it have any other benefits in updating? Otherwise im in no rush to leave the car running for over an hour for nothing 😂
