Sooo...a shipmate may or may not have a hot date tonight (he does, she is).

He thought he was being clever by only divulging her first name and that she's a doctor.

Okay, he showed me her Tinder profile!

But now I'M the creepy one because I've not only found her on Facebook, but established her main interest outside of work and found out (roughly) where she's from (I wasn't going to pay for the information lol)

(It was easy, there is only 1 doc in the UK with her 1st name lol)

How the world is sort of circular....

Some people won't like this story, but in Jersey the speed limits are very low (40 max), we were only in 20-30 zones and it's all very village attitude like (a lot of the time)....

Anyway, 8 years ago, I was at a music concert here with my date and we couldn't get home afterwards, one of her friends called his dad who turned up in a transit van full of boxes, we all piled in and he dropped us home...

Last Saturday was my 'date' and I's wedding, we stayed so late that we couldn't get a taxi, the same friend phoned his dad who said he'd pick 5 of us up (3 of her friends and us), we laughed about the transit van and everything, he turns up.....

.....in an 2005 Ford fiesta! Haha, 3 in the back, wife on top of them, me in the front, off to our hotel in style!

Strangely, I am actually looking forward to going to work today. Well, until I get the first call at least!

I'd just be sitting around the house doing bugger all if I weren't working so at least there I'm getting paid!

The smell that was in my Focus when I bought it, and still remains, albeit fainter. I still haven't worked quite was it is. It's stronger than an air freshener, might be an upholstery cleaner: but surely a valeting product would have disipated by now.

As for the scent, upholstery cleaner can linger as there are multiple surfaces and unless they are all frequently sat on (seats that is) the scent can remain on the fabrics.

Has no one at work commented in the office you have that new fat smell lol

Ordinarily, being stuck with a Captain in the car for 2hrs would be hell...but

a) He's a good chap, and an excellent CO

b) I get out of a tedious evolution this evening

c) I can use the ships car (it's a Fiesta...if it was a Corsa then he would be getting the train back lol)
