Treacle puddings were amazing! Hideously sweet, but you end up with that warm glowing overheating feeling...

...and glued together teeth.

Better than Tigerseal for attaching something to something else.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Cloying in the extreme

Eat a pouch of that goop and you look like a dog with a mouthful of peanut butter.

Strange how we were told that we could eat boily bags hot or cold but most of the menus were too stodgy to consume unless heated up.

Hotpot and chicken pasta were good though.

Curry!!!!! Mmmmmmmm

Chocolate pudding was worse than the treacle I reckon.... Had a sickly strange chocolate taste, least the treacle was just pure sugar hahaha.

If I head for the moors I still buy Wayfarer boily bags (original suppliers to the MoD for rat packs).

They do a good chilli and stew.

I like to keep a couple in the patrol car too, handy if I'm on long jobs in the middle of nowhere (most of Devon/Cornwall :d ), far better than wads and a pack of monster munch :p

You can sometimes get them from the supplier - I think they flog the excess from production lol

(Not cheap though!)

I know there was a big fuss a while back where some storeman somewhere was making big bucks flogging loads of rations on ebay and they are all marked as MoD property now but they do still crop up.

All mine come official with a Nato stores note and everything.

The wholesalers had a big box of monster munch that was soon to be out of date in their reduced section a while back... I couldn't help myself..

Gotta be pickled onion flavour :D

That warm glow of satisfaction and well-being, following a 27 mile walk with the dog, despite it lashing down, near enough the moment we set off

Gotta be pickled onion flavour :D

Absolutely :D

My older cat is partial to monster munch and hula hoops but loathes all the other snacks, especially the proper cat snacks.

Roast beef...

Roast beef...

Oh no, can't stand the roast beef ones. Either pickled onion or the hot ones for me please.

A freshly washed clean dog.

She found something particularly noxious to roll about in, on her walk today; it smelled like decomposed rotten fish. :( Which it might have been, as we were walking besides the river Stour.

Come to think of it, goose/swan poo it probably more likely

Every morning I put at the bottom of my drive, a bowl of water - for local dogs to drink from during their walks. One of the users (well her Boxer is the actual user: she accompanies him), rang the doorbell and handed me a box of homemade cheesy bone biscuits, as she'd made too many, and thought my dog might like some :) As hers like a mid-walk drink :)

Small gestures can make big differences!

You probably have, but just check the paper work, sometimes places charge a set amount for the first 100 miles (or other amount) then after that an amount per mile, it's rarely outrageous but be aware :)

Whilst out with the dog, I found £31.87 in loose change, scattered about the pavement, where several fast food outlets are based. :) The dog found several abandoned meals  but was denied the opportunity to consume them.

I often find lost and abandoned change there. However, the Sunday morning walk is usually the most profitable: not the Wednesday

How strange.... Could make a career out of that!

It is a little odd, I can only think, the local inebriated community got a taxi to their favourite fast food outlet, and then dropped all their change, paying for their passage. To drunk to notice or care.

Still, I can get the dog 30Kg of chicken carcases, from the profit on her walk, and have sufficient spare for recreational bone or two. :)
