Things I do like

I love vetting good mileage too, even with extra dead weight in the boot, I can still get mostly 600 miles out of all tanks some going to 750 to 800

And there is me feeling smug when I get 500 miles out of a tank!

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Getting my car back from the body shop and looking sweet again

Receiving a complement about my car despite it being filthy inside and out lol

Especially about the DRL's

"Are they standard? They look it! I like them!!"

Cheers Lenny :D

Yet again, I like the fact it is Friday! Even though I'm staying alcohol free tonight, it is great not having work for two days.

I'm also very glad that I saw through an attempt to get me to take a long weekend and work next Saturday, which is no doubt because there will be a promotion on meaning the phone lines would be red hot over next weekend... Yeah, I ain't working that if I can avoid it!

Another positive is finding that since running the Primera with a tank of premium unleaded and injector cleaner, its average MPG has increased to 41.5 and it has already covered over 350 miles with still over 1/3 of a tank remaining. Not too bad! It is hardly Ford Fiesta MPG but for a family saloon with a 1.8 engine it is certainly doing as well as it can.

How did you survive :O did Someone call and you heard a dial tone :P haha bet the feeling of relief when I got it back!

You clicked my head there I like how the service I'm on with virgin media internet I always get upgraded to fastest speed available for free and a couple weeks ago I got upgraded again........... 200mb! I play pc games and downloaded 10gb in 8mins! Lol a remember when I had dial up years ago how things changed

I am in very rural Wales & although there are very many advantages to this location - up until last week communication technology was not one of them :(

I thought in Wales the level of comms was still two bean tins and a length of string ;)

It is ! or rather was - the main towns & cities are in the 21st century - here in the sticks we prefer olde - worlde living :) & who wants to live in a city ?

Tbh the speed I have here in the sticks is better than when I lived back in 'towny' Cheltenham...also on BT superfast

I do like that I live in the sticks - no pollution, no crime, I can leave my cars & property unlocked, no air heads racing their cars through the streets etc etc etc & some of the best beaches & countryside in Europe on my doorstep :)

I'd love to live out in the cuds.

Plenty of open space for the dogs to run about and peace & quiet for me to enjoy.

Ditto!

its just a shame that living in the wilderness, means needing to drive to the local shops, and having no conveniences immediately on your doorstep...

The supermarkets deliver, the local convenience store is open all hours, the local pub is a real country pub, it's 10 minutes to the nearest town, internet banking is alive & well, there's no economic migrants, no crime, the sun shines a lot, the beaches are amazing, the countryside is spectacular, the roads are empty, the locals are friendly - apart from that, being retired and living in the country sucks . . . . NOT ! :)

Lol touche. When you out it like that...

You don't get everything unfortunately. I'm lucky that in my village there are two corner shops, 3 pubs, (two which are really restaurants), a Boots chemist and a hairdressers. Also looking out the back of my house are just fields with deer etc.

Not bad for some 40 miles from London, 10 from Guildford, and then 30 miles south to the coast!

Bit annoying that our nearest big supermarkets (Waitrose and Sainsburys) are 8 miles away, but tbh we have more choice for shops than we did living in Epsom.

I don't like where my dad lives, closer to London. So busy and noisy. No thanks!

Property prices are a bad, sad joke in most parts of Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex & parts of Hampshire and anywhere half decent in London

Catching up on DIY:SOS

Awesome project!!
