That's cheap!! 😮  But saying that, I can't imagine many cars get stolen on the island?  Not easy to hide a car there and I'd assume they've got ANPR at the ferry lol.

No, not many cars stolen here! Occasionally someone takes one that the owner has left the keys in, usually on a Saturday night post pub chucking out time.

In fact there was a court case in the paper a couple of weeks ago where someone joyrode a cherry picker after the pub! 😁

@Simon_K just realised we both had our MOTs near the same time with the same advisory 🤣. I changed the front left tire a few months back as it got mishapened due to the bead of the rim causing an air leak back then. I'm sure then they are referring to the front right.

@Turvey my dad called my insurance looking to see what he would be quoted if he did a multi car insurance. He was quoted £110 which is cheaper than what he's paying which is around £300. Sadly though this doesn't let him drive other peoples cars which he has to do sometimes when he fixes his friend's cars.

Autobeam have some new bulbs for their performance range. Looking at this one at the moment and might get these to replace the standard ones I bought from them.

I hate you @zain611. Within 3 minutes of reading your post, I've bagged up ~£84 of LED bulbs 😲 though I haven't ordered yet as; 1) the mirror indicator bulbs are out of stock and 2) I'm not sure if there was a code for Autobeam for members?

I hate it they released these bulbs months after me getting their standard ones 🤣. If you search up some videos on YouTube of people installing autobeam bulbs some of them give a discount code. You could keep repeating a discount code each order you make but looks like they stopped it. The discount codes I remember are SIGNUP10 and ASH12. Just about all my exterior lights are LED except for the front and rear fogs and front indicators. Might get their LED h11 switchback fogs along with the new performance brake and sidelights. Not bothered about upgrading the rear fogs as I hardly use them.

You can see I have autobeams standard LED brake and sidelights bulbs, performance indicators which are really bright and their reverse lights which they now call it they performance ones.

Got their halo sidelights / indicators. Got this for £30 back when they were on sale. They've gone up to about £50 which I think is a lot.

@TomsFocus have you seen this focus. It's an estate though.

Yep, I spent about an hour looking through every 1.0 Titanium X within 200 miles yesterday!!

That one is the right colour but it's prefacelift (eurgh 🙄 ) and on the app pack 1 wheels that I don't like lol.  I wouldn't mind an estate at all though.  That one definitely makes the black one look a very good price though, only an extra £300 for app pack 2 with the nicer wheels and rear tints, and full leathers, on a facelift model...  BUT I just can't push the budget that far lol.

ASH12 still works for 12%.

Looking to get all rears (not I would bother with fogs) and indicators. Not sure I will change headlights (still got Night Breaker Laser/Unlimited for Dipped/Full beams).

@Zico I'd now just get their performance range bulbs. The performance indicators are really bright. I had my dad drive behind me and he said they are bright but they don't blind you. I've noticed also people behind back off slightly when I indicate 😂. Stops people from driving close behind you. Now they have performance brake lights so might get them to swap out the original ones I have. Also need to change the high level brake light as that just can't keep up with the LED brake light speed. That's good to know about that code, autobeam for some reason increase the price of some of their stuff. The performance reverse lights for example were about £10 when I bought them now it's gone up to about £16.

@Lenny really love your mum's garden and that fairy cottage you got. It's good to visit the older family members. You don't know how happy and grateful they are when you come to visit them. I wish they don't get any older and frailer.

@TomsFocus I'm starting to like the estate focus. Just like the back end of it. A few days ago I saw a focus ST Estate in a dark grey colour and that looked nice. Looks like this one here but I don't think I'd spend £21k on a focus ST when you can get something faster and cheaper. You can get focus RSs for that price.

My neighbour has an ST TDCI in that Stealth grey, only £20 tax!!  Looks great tbh, just as well really as I have to see it from my living room haha!  It's a hatch though, not an estate.  Don't think he's on here, I'd like to ask to take it for a drive but don't have the balls to ask haha.

I've had a few estate cars back when I was carting stuff about daily, they're so useful and I do like the shape of a lot of them.  I prefer an estate to a saloon personally.

There are always cheaper and faster cars about, but they'll be older, or lower specced, or higher mileage, or worse looks etc.  It just depends what matters to you really, everyone's after different things in a car.  I'm at a point where I need reliability and low running costs, but will have to sacrifice power for that.

Thanks guys,

I'm surprised at how happy she is with it,

I can see little defects and things such as making the bottom row of Windows bigger I would change but she thinks it's fantastic the way it is.

@TomsFocus makes sense since it bees in the car plus travels outside the car with you in your pocket 😂. That must mean my original keys must of done more than 115k miles whereas the new pair done probably 1500 miles.

I do like installing a Samsung 860 Pro solid state hard drive in to my PlayStation 4,

The original 1TB standard hard drive broke down late last year,

I only use the PlayStation 4 to play Grand Theft Auto the odd time as well as Fallout4 but nothing else so a 256Gb solid state will be sufficient

As to replace the original with a 1TB solid state would be around the same Cost as a new PlayStation 4

I do like the reduction in noise from the system as there's only the fans rotating now no disk noise and the transfer of data is increased to 6GB per second which reduces the start up and loading times quite significantly.

@Lenny I installed a 2TB hard drive in my PS4. Have to agree with you you don't need much storage space. I have several games and I think I haven't even took up a quarter of the space. I think the hard drive was £80

You got a good deal on the 2TB, mine originally came with 1TB and the console itself is around three years old,

The best deal I could find on the 250GB Solid State was £86 from Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078WQJXND/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_ygTHBbDRFQ5TY

Went out today to my local fish shop. Trying to plan what to get nearer the time of setting up the tank. I came across the ornament again of interest. Its this tree root. I placed it in one of the display tanks and I think it may look a little too big. Its 40cm across and the tank is 62cm in length so might look long. If I ever change my mind however they have two of it in there display tanks so don't have to worry about this one going. DSC_0508.thumb.JPG.589c45f00a82d4b8dd3d77947707ee33.JPG

So to the fish. Really like these galaxy danios. Don't grow big plus have a lovely colour to them. The zebra danios in my current tank ate my little blue shrimp so will want fish that don't get big enough to eat them. Hopefully will get these dream velvet blue shrimp again. DSC_0513.thumb.JPG.0dbaa7b149d3c0b88ffb2592e0029b95.JPGDSC_0514.thumb.JPG.99b7c95d171cfb78b69d628abbec105b.JPGDSC_0510.thumb.JPG.f87db2d33e4acf3780d727947c275bea.JPG

Might also get these neon tetras or cardinal tetras. Thinking also of getting the plant stuck to the driftwood in the background. Want easy to keep plants which don't need extra attention. DSC_0511.thumb.JPG.486d4461ea5b16bd328a46bd11d999df.JPGDSC_0512.thumb.JPG.49de67c90353e4a6589b7aef30874e89.JPG

Liked this little guy here. Forgot the name of him but I think it's £5 each. DSC_0515.thumb.JPG.5f4768a48e6e2def799fd25f2cb16887.JPG

This is the sand I might get. I don't think they have this colour in 10kg so might have to get the 25kg oneDSC_0516.thumb.JPG.9d8491c6fc6974422eab27e4eba923a8.JPG

@Lenny I think the hard drive was £180 not £80 sorry. Can't remember for certain as I got that 2 years back

The Aquarium will look great

I like the natural environment

@zain611 is there anything special about that tree root?  I spend half my life tripping over stuff like that in the woods down here!!

Ancistrus - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancistrus

They are basically like cat fish and are good for keeping the tank/s clean. We've had a few in the past and they start off small and will grow in size proportionally to the size of the tank.

@Lenny hardest thing at the moment is aquascaping. I don't really have a clue on what ornaments I want. Definitely want it to look natural. Might just transfer the ornaments over to the new tank and get that plant attached to the wood to give the fish something to hide in.

@TomsFocus that's a good thought there. Could look for a real tree stump in my local park 🤣. The fake one is £32. They had driftwood there which is cheap. A large piece is about £30

@Zico I'm sure now ancistrus was the first name of it. I wish they give them a normal name rather than the scientific name. Good thing with these fish are they won't eat other fish.

Dumping is quite rampant in the sea these days, as result I've got a black mug laying in the bottom of my fish tank,

It's gone all green and hairy now looks alright

I like your idea and thought there. Still though I can't imagine the amazon rivers having mugs laying down on the river bed 🤣. Want to try and replicate it to look like that. For the background I was thinking I might get a frosted vinyl wrap or just leave it as the tank is going to be in a corner next to a cream door and wall.

@alexp999 I might need your help on aquascaping my new tank 🤣
