I think they can do some damage due to the acid in them. There was a little dimple on the roof of my car which looked like a bird mark which must of been sitting there for some time and left a indentation. Luckily I believe it's gone since I polished it.

Sorry, when I said they won't damage the paint, I meant when wiping them off with the Autoglym wipes. Leaving them on definitely damages the paint.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Saw this on Facebook ( not into Facebook except for a mondeo group) and thought it applied generally to some posts/ topics on here .lol

How many people in a Facebook group does it take to change a light bulb?
*****
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.
17 purists who use candles and are offended by light bulb discussions.
6 to argue over whether it's 'lightbulb' or 'light bulb.'
Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.
22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jerks.
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is 'lamp.'
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that 'light bulb' is perfectly correct.
49 to post memes and gifs (several are of Michael Jackson eating popcorn).
19 to post that this page is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb page.
11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant here.
24 to discuss the merits of LED/swirly fluorescent light bulbs.
44 to claim LED and fluorescent bulbs will kill you.
12 to post F.
8 to ask what F means.
7 to post 'Following' but there's 3 dots at the top right that means you don't have to.
3 to say "can't share."
2 to reply "can't share from a closed group."
36 People to post pics of their own light bulbs.
15 People to post "I can't see S$%^!" and use their own light bulbs.
6 to report the post or PM an admin because someone said "f÷×$"
4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".
13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs."
1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that (insert politician of choice) isn't the brightest bulb. This usually takes place within the first three comments.
50 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.
5 admins to ban the light bulb posters who took it all too seriously.
1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.

Sorry all, muffed it up and accidentally deleted the original thread.

Had to recover it via a merge and then edit the title back.

My Bad

Ok, so I went to Tesco's this morning, quite busy, was near the shower gels, soaps , medicines area when I felt the need to sneeze. So decided as the need arises I would give it as loud a sneeze as possible. Crikey didn't I ever sneeze. Most of the shoppers in a large radius were looking at me. Well ,I made the most of it and then started to pretend coughing then wiped my brow as if I had a fever. 😂😂😂😂😂

I'll give you the laughing emoji but I'd have shot out the shop faster than Usain Bolt if I'd been there!

I'm sure sneezes get louder when you become a Dad though...  Does anyone's Dad sneeze at a sensible volume?

Also...what age do you start making that trumpet noise when blowing your nose into a hanky, must be at least 70 right?

Tbf though, I don't like silent sneezers either...I mean, where does it go?  Have they sh*t themselves instead? 😮

I can vary my sneeze volume depending on whether I want to be sociable or scare people at 100 paces.

Lately I've been going full volume, wild animals run and hide & children cry :angel_not:

I hear you make children cry anyway.

On the subject of coronavirus, what with panic buying antibacterial hand wash??? It's a virus , not bacteria. Lol.  some folk don't deserve to stand upright.

Only when I tell them that you are their father.

We've been given extra vinyl gloves and personal hand gel bottles to carry, I understand about picking the virus up by hand contact then touching our own faces but tbh a paper mask would be better.

A full face mask in your case so you stop making the children cry.

Having doing a masters in infection and immunity I asked my virology teacher about this and he said not to worry too much. Main thing is though try not to stick you fingers in your nose or mouth as the virus mainly spreads by nasal mucus / bodily fluids. There's one school in my area with suspected CoronaVirus and I take the underground train past main stations so worries me

@iantt

Are you thinking of attending Ford Fair this year?

If yes then I'll be the one on the grassy knoll.

It can also get in through your eyes... 😑  Tbh if someone with the virus speaks or coughs near you, you'll probably get it.  Best thing is just to keep away from people altogether!
