Things I do like

Featured Replies

Do like cleaning and ceramic coating my dad's wheels. His car had the wheels refurbished before being bought by him. Cleaned them then ceramic coated them with 2 coats and left to harden overnight in the warm garage. Also put some tire dressing in. Looks like new. Screenshot_20200301-201242.thumb.png.1b1df6819a77c41d991c53911b40ff51.pngScreenshot_20200301-201234.thumb.png.c51e12af1af8979c7e2fbd5648dfcbca.png

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I like the sound of a heated garage.

Is applying the ceramic coating straightforward?

This was the first time I applied a ceramic coating. Yeah just apply in a crosshatch motion so sude to side and up and down. I'm not sure if I can see little streaks on the back of the wheels which are black but might see if a cloth can remove it or just have to learn next time to thoroughly wipe it off

Did a little video testing the beading characteristics on the wheels. So put 2 coats of that sealant on and left overnight in the nice warm garage.

@zain611 Found another black Zetec S with a red dash today!!

But by far the coolest vehicle I've seen today was this...

That's cool. Makes me appreciate more about mine how rare the red dash option is 😁. Wish I could get the plastic parts painted which they are on the ST

Managed to knock off work early today and meet up with Mrs. TimST2 in the sun to have our first drive in the Caterham

Only did 14 miles, but what an event :driving:

Now I need to get to 1000 miles and that first service so I can use the other 3,500 rpm...

Would seriously love to have a go in one, very jealous!

Also, we’ve just got a Fiat 500 TwinAir in the family fleet. Makes a quite hilarious noise when caning it, and I like that the drive now has cars with 2, 3, 4 and 8 cylinders!

I do like my precision parking today!

We can fit 3 cars on the drive but the only way that they can all get in and out at any time is if we all park in a specific way. I have to park as close as I can to the garage door so this can happen.

Here's today's effort No Fords were hurt in the process 😄

I do like that my broadband and TV upgrade was completed yesterday. I now get some new channels in full HD, my old tv box connects to my network so I can watch my previous recordings on the new box and my internet speed is even faster.
I also like that I didn't have to have the engineer come into my property to fit it all for me. I explained my issues on the phone to customer services when ordering the upgrade, they put notes on the engineers system and he contacted me 30 minutes before arrival to discuss what I needed.
He delivered the new box to my door, game me a new 3-way splitter for the signal, about 5m of fibre-optic cable and a brand new cat 6 ethernet cable (which is now plugged in to my PS4 pro).
The install was fairly easy to do myself and now I'm all up and running.
The only part which was tricky was having to move my model display cabinet to get to the cable splitter to swap it out.

I also like that on Tuesday I got a brand new PS4 pro with the upgraded chassis for cooling performance (there's another part to this in the I don't like thread).

It's friyay today. Made 2 good burgers. One vegetarian one along with a meat one in the oven. Put a slice of cheese on top whilst it's in to melt on top. Fried onions in oil with butter. Put mayo, and ketchup in. Looks like something you'd get from a restaurant 😋

We now have 3 cars on the drive which was only supposed to have one on. Had to find a space for the step daughter's Peugeot 107 she will be driving once she passed her test. All fit if I put her car in the garden a bit and I reverse close up alongside with a very small gap .

I forgot to mention I made this on Wednesday 😂. Don't really have an appetite straight after getting out of bed.

@iantt what year is your daughters 107? I'm thinking of getting the 3rd gen one from 2012 with £0 tax

That's the one we got for her. 2012 3rd gen. Nice little car it is. Basically it's a Toyota Aygo .

It's good my partner ( in the health profession) knowing someone who is attending the government's cobra meetings. Bit of insider knowlege is useful.

Making friends down at the park! Wasn’t there when I left 😂

The other one looks like a dog that's been running through all the puddles.

Just seen my first 20 plate in the wild...  Just a Clio, nothing particularly exciting!

I used to have one as my first car. It was the first gen one, a 2007 one. Might get the newer one due to the tax and little updates on it. Surprised how cheap they become especially the fully equipped allure trim

It always seems to be Aygos, 107s and similar sized cars doing 35 in a 60, 35 in a 50, 35 in a 40, 35 in a 30....

I guess that should be a don't like 😛

I think the owners may actually have had a dog 😂

Tbh, I shouldn't really judge, my car looks like a dog that's been rolling in the puddles, not just running through them.

You won't expect that if I'm driving one 😂. It's such a fun little nippy car to drive. Has a nice sounding engine which has a sporty vibe to it
