I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I like collecting the new car and having a proper go with all the things on it. Couldn’t figure out the radio at first, and it’s had new front discs and pads so braking is a bit off atm. Will be buying a bluefin for it at some point, it feels a bit slow compared to the Fez as obviously it’s heavier.

@Stoney871 would I please be able to have some stickers like Zain as well please?

[mention=28494]Stoney871[/mention] stickers arrived. Really love them and the envelope. Only problem I'll say is as its a black sticker I don't know where to place it on the car. Going to clean the car today so can see if I can put them on [emoji4]

Aye, that was the problem with them.
Not easy to get them to be visible through tinted glass.
I am trying to source some done in silver (as per the original club stickers) or white so they would show through better.

I do like getting brave today and taking out the front passenger seat of my 2010 ford focus,

Brought it to the bedroom along side an ST Recaro

There the same sub frame

The st sub frame is the definition of patina 🥺

20200321_171919.thumb.jpg.f8b36d0c60513589360dd2463e7d220e.jpg

I've dissect the original passenger seat to reveal the rail and sub frame

20200321_180516.thumb.jpg.5a1ee547f95e4fa6c9d3851941634c28.jpg

now stripping the Recaro seat to refit on the existing rail.

Tedious but well worth it, I'm taking lots of pictures of the process as I figured this may become more common as time progresses

Its also keeping my mind off the pandemic which is absolutely great.

Its working 😂

Bottom section done

I do like that it turns out to be extremely easy to make pasta from scratch!

Panic buying has cleared the shelves of all the dried stuff, but someone gave me a pasta machine roller thing years ago that’s never been out of the box and it turns out it’s just eggs and flour.

Front Passenger Seat complete like new transferred the rail and sub frame including seat belt socket and I fitted the facelift black side panels instead of the original grey mk2 panels.

the original belt socket on the passenger ST seat was deployed or used for an accident purpose it seems, as the cylinder for the tensioner has been shot,

Interesting to see how they function though;

Here it is expelled;

notice the goose neck has shrunk due to the bungee cord being pulled down through the cylinder and protruding out the end; it's very much jammed in this position; had I not spotted this and fitted the seat to the car; it could have triggered the dashboard airbag 😅 which wouldn't be cool atall

Here it is standard state

I'm going to update the relevant thread now and hopefully get the drivers seat done tomorrow; I've had a look at the ST drivers seat and I'm not convinced the rail on it is a straight swap to the original frame because there is an extra gas strut height adjustable section on the front of the Recaro, but I may be able to unbolt and carry across to the new rails leaving all the rusty parts behind.

More progress in the relevant thread tomorrow; heres a link for those interested https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/115717-rust-seat-rail-repair/

Thanks.

Put the new sticker on along with the sambo's Tyres limited gold on. Also cleaned the car, ceramic coated the wheels and sealed the glass.

Ordered some gel badges for the Focus today, my rear badge is suffering from the common corrosion problem. Will be something to look forward to as well as my forum stickers 😄

I do like Mrs Turvey getting a heated footspa for Mother's Day, although apparently, unfortunately, No 2 isn't an instruction!!! 😞 😂😂😂

I do like being proved wrong from my post in the "don't like" thread yesterday and waking up to a message from the CEO saying stay at home on full pay until we can get home working up and running.

Finally they've done something decent!!!

I like Greggs....a lot.
Went in for breakfast in uniform and they gave me a bacon & sausage bap (with extra bacon too [emoji106]) and a coffee for £2.
Greatly appreciated.

Yeah I forgot. Sadly heard my philipino aunt's dad sadly passed away from this virus. Her mum got it but survived it.

Sorry to see that.

I'd rather be at home staying out of it all but as an essential worker I don't get the choice.
Did a 14 hour shift last night so a quick Greggs before trying (and failing [emoji17]) to get some kip before starting again at 4pm was a little luxury I wanted to avail myself of.
