Things I do like

Featured Replies

I do like receiving a permit to allow me to travel to & from work during lock down as my work is part of the essential services

If my primary school principal could see me now 😂 he would be crossing his fingers in solidarity support for me and what I do;

Instead of pointing them in my face.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Went out to change the reverse lights on my car and it started raining 😂. Managed to get one in before running inside

Ah man, that's your daily outdoor exercise allowance used up, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to fit the other one!

Yeah exactly what I'm thinking 😂. Right, need to get back onto doing my university work. Happy at least they postponed the deadlines for my assessments. I also don't think I'm suffering from depression now just some emotional upset which probably is better

I do like taking advantage of another day with no functioning work PC by catching up on housework and doing an online course I purchased about 5 months ago...

@TomsFocus well managed to get them both in 😂.

@Zico these do seem to be brighter compared to the other ones. You can see the difference between the two.

I do like that our council ie my employer, has suspended recycling collections and closed the recycling centers. It won't directly affect me in the immediate future as I'm at home now for the foreseeable future due to MS and the possibility of a relapse if I caught CV. It will, however, be a big relief to my oppo who has been under a lot of pressure recently due to a) me being off, and b) lack of staff to replace me.

Wow, the old Autobeam bulbs look cheaper than the cheap CEUK bulbs. After I replaced the failed CEUK ones it was definitely brighter the first evening I reversed into the drive .

I do like that it looks like a nice day out there; I still can't work from home and am on leave tomorrow until the end of the week!  Going to make myself a bacon and egg roll now then maybe have a short walk outside later on...

I believe it's still cold out there. Since it's been sunny like this the temperature out there doesn't make up for it.

I am thinking of getting some touch up paint and filling in those annoying stone chips in on the bumper

That's true, just checked the weather app...

I do like having just made post number 12,345 in the Don't Like thread, very satisfying!

Also like realising it's not just me & @zain611 that can't cope with a little blood...  Did anyone see Bake Off last night?  Joe Sugg literally passed out after cutting his finger!! 😮

Lol I need to see that. I think I'm getting better now looking at blood. You remember when I cut my foot when a piece of a plate broke and fell on it. Took some time for it to coagulate. I'm also able to do blood glucose tests on patients which probably makes me less 'passy outy' as I'm looking at blood 😂

Found this jewel 😂

I wish I could do something productive like that with all my spare time, must take weeks to make!

Scooter from his house

Few strange moments where there no crowed to respond 😂 for example check out the 49th minute

I've been a fan since 1994

I was going to say if you're studying to be a doctor (presumably?) you'll have to get better at dealing with blood!

The weird thing is it's not like I consciously thought of getting scared of blood and wanting to pass out, it was a subconscious thing.

Im looking at going into this training specialising in cardiology to become a clinical scientist. It's competitive getting in which is annoying but I thankfully did do well on this years application getting put in the reserve list but because of covid19 the interview process got cancelled. If I get in that's 3 years training and having to do a part time master. After that can choose to go onto a further course which is 5 years and do a PHD in that then become a qualified consultant clinical scientist. This further training is equivalent to a medicine degree so does make me want to do it but first of all is getting in the first training.

At least you've got the opportunities there, I'm sure you'll achieve it.

Our eldest daughter painted up some beach stones which we had collected before travel restrictions were implemented.

She likes art and it shows 😂
