Thats interesting to know about swapping the ECU and the gearbox in mine. Win win there then 😁. That might be why at 70mph the 75hp version sits at 3200 rpm and the 60hp is around 3000

Supposedly the 75 has the taller gearing, which is why a 60 with an ECU swap or remap is said to be quicker on acceleration than a stock 75. If true, the 75 ought to show the lower rpm.

There's actually quite a lot on this topic on the briskoda.net site where there are some pretty enthusiastic tinkerers on the Citigo forums.

it's a while since I've been on there, but there was a lot of debate about whether one or the other actually had the higher gearing, or whether they were both the same. Someone might have the definitive answer by now!😀

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Work  just scrapped a 08 plate fiesta, needed a spring and had a couple of dents. Nothing much else wrong with it. No one could be bothered to sort it out.

An impressive feat nowadays...almost everything interesting seems to be auto!

It’s a Fiesta ST, just hoping I actually get it before they stop building them lol

What a waste! ☹️

I do like the Focus getting a reprieve for another year..... hopefully 🤞

MOT a couple of days ago, failed on a tyre and a trackrod end with another tyre as an advisory.

Just got them to replace both tyres since it was in, £240 later and hopefully another year at least before I have to worry about getting another car.

Wow, £240, I hope that included the track rod end too! LOL

And tracking, and mot.

I'd insure that gold plated track rod end LOL

Driving out of Belfast this morning on the M2, I noticed plumes of 'smoke' on the horizon. On reaching further, I saw that it was a beautiful steam train pulling 5 carriages obviously on some kind of special Christmas expedition. Odd that a method of transport in excess of 100 years old could bring such joy to me, I genuinely felt like a kid playing with his 1st train set...

Do you think in a hundred years from now that a ride on a 'Boris Bike' will bring the same level of joy ? 🤣

Probablyt not, but there may be something similar when they're all in hydrogen cars and an old Tesla drives past LOL

Yep! MOT, tyres, track rod end and hopefully tracking 😀

They regularly run steam trains up my neck of the woods you can hear the whistles and if lucky at certain vantage points spot them. I'm a Deltic and pacer memory guy, but steam evokes a different time.

We have a small steam railway near me, runs regular steam journey between Cheltenham racecourse to Broadway. In the summer months there's steam train running every hour throughout the day. It's only probably 20 miles at the most each way.

Just seen in the local paper that the train I saw earlier was indeed a 'Santa' special!

Woke up to this, only downside is my partner and her daughter were going to visit her mum today leaving me at home to have a peacefully day.

No coal for stockings this year then, all being used on the train since the price of reindeer food became unviable. 😮

Oh, so they'll be wanting them back then. Shame, I had some wonderful Venison sausages last week in a very posh Donegal hotel, delicious!

Will steam trains run  on coking coal, now the new pit is a go-er ? or do they have to be smokeless hahahaha

Just leaving this here in case anyone does fancy a ride on a choo-choo. No special interest to declare, other than I had a couple of day trips with them in the pre-covid times:

Lol, we have two in our warehouse. A LED white one in reception and one made from different size boxes and labels in the warehouse. I put a safety ticket in yesterday as theres no shovel or bucket to clear up after it 😄

Anyone know if the latest Spiderman film can be streamed for free anywhere yet?

Watched the other two this weekend and last, thought they were pretty good, I'm not usually in to fantasy stuff.

Was hoping the latest one would be on TV next weekend but can't see it on the TV Guide.

Never watched them before as I thought they were kids films...but being played at 10pm on a weekend made me question that!

Ah, I don't use any naughty sites!  Thanks for the suggestion though.
