Things I do like

Featured Replies

@porkchop 64 I had a 2000E that I wish I still had 🙄

I never took any pics but I got a couple from a previous owner a couple of years ago.  This is the only one I can find just now though.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I always aspired to a 2000E, closest i got was a two tone 1.6 cortina

One I saw in Cyprus a few years ago. Don't think it was a runner though.

The green Mk 2 , however was absolutely mint! You could have eaten your dinner off the underneath!

I do like that the Airbnb we're staying in has a table arcade machine! This one has a selection of 30? games.

Space Invaders was a money pit when I was growing up, never really very good at it but enjoyed playing it.

Brilliant machine. I too played space invaders & PacMan in the 80s when they 1st came out. My 'gaming' career never developed beyond that! Wouldn't even know how to plug in a PlayStation LOL

Asteroids but I was useless at it. You can buy the retro tables fitted with the latest games and software. Treasure Island Dizzy was about my limit on the Amiga 500 which go for stupid money now, more than they originally sold for.

Used to play Sonic The Hedgehog on the Megadrive a fair bit as well as a James Bond one. Only games I ever managed to finish, albeit on easy settings 😀

I was banned from the games room at our local pub as a teenager. I was so good at space invaders , all I needed was 10p for a good few hours . When I defeated space invaders it would just start from the begining again. Obviously the pub wasn't making any money out of the machine. And the football coins you used to get free with petrol my dad gave me worked wonders as they were the same size and weight of 10p . Any duplicate football coins were dispatched in the slot. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. That and a bit of strimmer cord worked too. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So do the igniters from oven lighters,a load of us got turfed out from the local for doing it, I was only about 16 at the time.

That's as much as I'll divulge about my misspent youth 🤣.

I got arrested at 3am in a place called Fitzwilliam in Yorkshire with my mates, we were walking off a heavy night and were accused of stealing car wheels, what with our teeth ?????????

That's awesome I love it.

Yep living in a seaside town with a fair ground I was hooked on all electronic games infact I spent all my pocket money on them lol, I'm sure space invaders first arrived here in the late 70s.

I remember a local taxi office got a space invaders 2, the box was red, the aliens were multi coloured they also split in two if you hit them in a certain way, it's the only one I came across in our area and you had to queue for ages to get a game.

I have been eyeing up a loaded games console on eBay, they have 100s of arcade games on them and not expensive

That's one thing I've never been caught for. I mean I've never arrested  for stealing  car wheels.  Did try nicking somes wheels when the person removed the wheels off my Austin metro and dropped it on the ground. Nearly got payback until we realised we were attempting to remove wheels from his car outside a small police station and the owner came running after us. Lol . those were the days. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can get them on the Nintendo switch as part of the online package. Was playing sonic 2 the other day.  Weird seeing it on a big screen but they’ve done a great job of the remaster.

I do like that my Focus has passed it's MOT...........albeit with 5 advisories! 2 bulbs and a tyre,  leaky exhaust but slightly more worrying, rusty subframe.
