Since having a 12v battery failure, bought new one and also bought a battery monitor just to check if I'm getting odd battery drain. . And the result so far is  slight drop at 3.43am then I can see the 12v battery getting a periodic charge from the main battery. All good.

Didn't James May do a well known YouTube on the failure of his Tesla to do just that, the main battery wasn't programmed to charge the 12v battery, hence it went flat an he couldn't even enter his car! Things have obviously improved since then...

Have you figured out the reason for the early demise of the battery? Or is it just another case of par for the course these days?

Looks like just a duff battery. No noticeable drain on battery . The monitor should pick up strange drain behaviour so after a week I should get a better picture of any drain. It's Bluetooth so I can see from the comfort of the sofa.🤣🤣 New one has 5 year guarantee.

I remember seeing that and thinking at the time what an utterly stupid bit of design, firstly not keeping the battery topped up from the main one and then making it so difficult to access. You really have to wonder what goes on in the heads of those "designers".

I get the feeling that they are so vociferously 'green' and only ride bicycles, they have never driven an actual real car so don't know what issues it may have...

Sorry for the double post. The website seemed to hang when I clicked Submit and I ended up rebooting the PC. Somehow that must have caused it to post twice and, of course, there's no way to completely remove ones own posts. Aint technology wonderful?

I'm betting we both also agree that MicroSoft is sh*t LOL

i refer to them as Microw-nk insert an "a". I moved to Linux and other platforms so far liking the experience

 

Normally we doing holidays in 3/4 star rated hotels choosing from lowest cost first. Found a deal cheaper booking directly with 5 star hotel. Wow!! What a difference in attitude from the staff and facilities. Had us and bags delivered to our room by golf buggy , then a phone call to ask if we would like a bottle of champagne and chocolates as a thankyou for giving the driver a tip. Weird!

Just had a knock on our room door and fancy box of biscuits and voucher for free cocktails given to us. 

This is obviously how the richer section of the population get treated.  And that's not us, remember how we got here!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

When a Bank makes something very easy - for once 👍

My Bank card has been faulty for over a week now. It still works if I put in a machine and enter the PIN but the 'contactless' function is broke.

So today I logged on to my bank and was dreading the many hoops I'd be expected to jump through in order to get a new card. Instead it actually took less than a minute. Just clicked "manage cards" then "order replacement", had to tick a box to confirm my address and click OK. That was it done !!!! 😀

Now why isn't everything that simple ?

I like it when someone elses miss fortune makes me laugh. I know it's wrong but still can't help myself. Good example tonight was a nanna got in her mobility scooter after  necking a load of baileys( all inclusive )  gets in her scooter and reverses into some hefty arm  chairs which a girl was sat at,she start moving in her chair hitting a table into another chair and carrying on across a doorway. 

The nanna stopped not realising what she done and reversed a bit more. I was in tears by now and about another 10 people were. 

Any of you plane spotters know about a large, low flying, red & white plane heading roughly south over Suffolk this afternoon?  Very loud but also sounded unlike a normal jet...

By the time I thought to check the flight radar website it was long gone lol.

What time? I have an app I can roll back time and see what was in the air then (if it had its transponder on)

Amazingly it arrived in only 36 hours from when I ordered it. The down size is they have made the card details so small now I have to put my glasses on to be able to read the details.
