I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Maybe WiFi, better upload speeds

Are there any cars who have a range less than 100 miles these days?  I know the original Leaf or Zoe did, but the newer models have improved.

Difficult stretch to call a car I know. Costs 35p to fill up on cheap rate elec. 🤣🤣🤣

Think I like cheap beer in Spain. I keep testing each pint and it's getting better. But there again so are the women looking better. Beer goggles. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm in Porto Portugal sitting in the executive lounge drinking 20 year old Graham's tawny port 😁

Porto, nice, never been. What's it like. ?

Enjoy yourself/ selves. I am at home in the Loire and it gets chilly in the winter so I am thinking a week or two down there in January would be good for my old bones and keep my Fiesta's SoC up.

Porto,

Very nice, lots of things to see and lot's of places to eat and drink.

Larger is Super Bock which is what everyone drinks. The Port is fantastic and cheap, 5 glasses for €8. Weather is about 22C and sunny 😎

I have to fly from Manchester, since my local airport only flies to Lisbon.

It's on our list for a city break trip. This year was Seville. Any particular time of year best to go? Looks like ryanair Birmingham is my option or easyJet Bristol.

Best times is late May or Early September, weather is good but not too hot and it avoids the school holidays.👍

Easyjet would be our preference out of those two 😉

Yeah, I've been let down a few times with Ryanair, change flight times from morning to evening, even cancel flight and rebook me next  day. Not ok when  Hotel, hire car already booked and paid for.

Not really had a BAD experience with Ryanair, just easyJet seem to have a better level of customer service, friendlier staff etc.

Anyone remember these?  It's a paint edger.  Made of aluminum I think, too light to be stainless steel.  Completely useless due to a bend in the straight edge!  Was just about to chuck it on the scrap pile when I noticed some fancy writing on it, plus a patent number and made in Great Britain.  Guessing it's older than me, but would be interested to know how much older.  Can't find any others from a quick online search.

Had a good few hours yesterday at the Classic Vehicle show at York racecourse. Unlike last year, when it rained the whole time, it didn't start until after I left!

Good selection of things to drool over - some lovely Jags: E-types, XK120, XK150, Mk 2 and Daimler V8 version.

Some nice Fords - Capri 2.8, Mk 1 Mexico, Mk 2 RS2000 and a big line up of Model As.

Very good selection of traditional British sports cars, MG Midgets, Bs and Cs, big Healeys, Triumph Spitfires and TRs.

Also a nice display of classic Japanese bikes from VJMC members.

I do like just looking under the bonnets and understanding what I can see - unlike nowadays where I largely haven't a clue!😀

Well, I won't be around to see, but I doubt if it will be that!

Another thing I like:

Just been to collect Mrs B's little Seat from it's annual visit to the local garage. 9th straight MOT pass with no advisories.😀

Have a look under the bonnet of this one. Any guesses what car?

Hard one without seeing more of the surrounding car. Side valve obviously, I'd guess at 100E or possibly split screen Minor?

Zenith Carb, so I'd go Ford....
