On the other hand sometimes you do strike lucky. We had a fabulous week on Arran some years back and another time we were strolling on the beach in Nairn in February in T-shirts! Weird! (The weather, not us!😀)

Playing guess the celebrity look alike in the bar area. So far we had Allan carr, mike yarwood( older generation may know) green grass, and a Cleopatra ( bit off pist) my partner keeps attempting photographic evidence. 🤣🤣🤣

Along side that it's " married or not" . 🤣 Incorporating son and mother??? Or not. 

We know how to live it up on hol. 🤣

My car insurance renewal has gone down by 9.4% which, considering I turned 80 since the last one, is quite surprising.

I do like actually managing to land at Aberdeen airport this morning! Not like last time as documented in the "I Don't Like" thread 😀

Although there was a wee bit of apprehension when my wife messaged me saying it was foggy! Cleared by the time we landed though.

Good to have a catch up with an old workmate and even better, he got me a couple of bags of the local delicacy that I grew to love when living and working in Aberdeen. Known as a rowie in Aberdeen but a buttery or even Aberdeen rolls elsewhere, not good for you in the slightest but delicious 😋 a small but perfectly formed mixture of flour, lard and salty goodness! Apparently one of the only foods that Terry Wogan didn't like.

Here's the one I had for breakfast this morning, a perfect disc of salty, lardy deliciousness 😋

put mixed fruit, raisins etc into a yorkshire batter mix, banging slavvered in butter warm.
