Things I do like

Featured Replies

Things I like:

  • Driving position and ergonomics. Everything falls conveniently to hand
  • Very positive steering with just the right amount of firmness at speed
  • Styling
  • Economical

Might be a different story once the honeymoon period wanes, but right now I'm loving it.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Can I just quickly check that you're still talking about a car and not your latest girlfriend ? 🤣

He put economical, that's not going to be a girlfriend or a ford .

Ordered a new Ford part (auxilliary drive belt) via ebay yesterday (23 Dec 2024 at 12:33 PM) from a company called PartsPlus (Official-Ford-Store)

Despatched yesterday (2024 Dec 23 15:04:59)

Delivered today (Tue, 24 Dec 11:41) by Royal Mail.

Amazing.

To cap it all, it's a genuine Ford item 1761929 that cost me only £12.98 including postage.

Well this is weird...  After a few weeks faulty, my bathroom extractor is working perfectly again.  Coming on with the light.  Running on for 2 minutes after light off.  I didn't do anything to it at all.

It has been very windy lately and it's draughty as heck in here, so maybe the wind blew some dust out?  That's the best suggestion I can come up with at the moment.

I do like where I live........ sometimes! 😀

Went for petrol last night after work, waited in line for attendant to fill up. When he started I went to grab my credit card out of my phone case only to find it not there!!! Told attendant he might as well stop as I couldn't pay just then but he carried on just saying "Don't worry about it, come in tomorrow or after New Year and settle up!" 👍

Yes, may all your batteries remain fully charged and your wet cambelts never break!

Best wishes all and, as ever thanks for all the helpful advice and friendly banter over the past year!

and you can easily find your tailgate leaks haha

Had to return my new all singing dancing [smoking laptop ] Bought an MSI Katana 17 B13V gaming laptop. Had it a month. All went well until last week when it started smoking, feeling rather warm and smelly.

Cant fault the return service direct to GXO thier repair specialist even over the festive period and i get daily updates on its progress thru the system, had all the ones before this am now on - unpacked turned on and under evaluation. Customer service how it should be, keeping us in the loop at all points.

Changed my SOC setting to 98% a few weeks ago and it seems the charging system is actually trying to archive this, albeit not actually getting there.

I'm a bit behind you, my car hadn't moved for almost a week Screenshot_20250106-160432.thumb.png.a2c3121cd98650c04e232203a6bcdc35.png

Yes that was quite typical of what I was getting with the SOC set to 95%

Bumping it up to 98% seems to have kick started the charging system and I'm now seeing 85 to 90% SOC most days.

I was normally getting high 80s low 90s as well but the lack of use and cold weather have not helped. I must get another Licence and change it again.

Crikey, are you now the only one in the country where the stop/start system works?? 😁

 Edit: I'm guessing Spain?

Sunny warm Lanzarote. Liked our break here last Jan so booked again. Nice after dreary Xmas and the cold.

We're going out to Benelmadena..... again 😀 in 7 weeks for my 60th birthday. Must do stuff around the house though so will need to curtail the holidays a bit after this trip 😢

Enjoy your break 🍻

I got jobs round the house too, but hate DIY, so any excuse for a hol.few days in  Seville April, Isle of Bute June, and hopefully Italy in sept.
