Retrofit bluetooth

Hi all,

I just bought a Fiesta and am loving it so far! Only thing I didn't think about was the presence of a bluetooth radio. It came with the standard 6 button radio. Reading up and some of the success and failure stories about swapping out the radio for a different one I am still in a pickle as to what exactly would be required.

Easy list would be:

Radio, facia, display, bluetooth module + loom + mic

All parts can be found but where I get stuck and cannot for the life of me find any relevant information is what the actual correct loom is for the bluetooth module and where it supposed to connect to seeing my current radio has a single 24pin connector. Anyone have some information in regards where the loom from the bluetooth module actually connects to?

If you have mk 7.5, you can put the Sony radio straight forward.

What i did:

First brought the Sony sat nav radio, facia, lcd with bracket and sdcard.

Plug & Play the connectors.

Use Forscan to activate,

-Color, MFD 5
-Navigation system for EU

-Integrated Control Panel - Branded ICP

For the bluetooth, i only buy when i see the full set, loom, micro, bluetooth module, then i know everthing is going to work, its a pain to find the loom.

Its a pain to get all and fit all, but for me worth every penny, and have zero problems.

Thanks for the detailed info and images! Looks like the loom has a dedicated connector that goes into the 26pin slot on the radio? Unfortunately mine is a MK7 or 2008.75.

From some research I found these partnumbers so far:

Radio: AA6T-18C815-XB
Display: AA6T-18B955-GD
Bluetooth: CS7T-14D212-AC

VIN: WF0JXXGAJJCL82651

I also came across a post somewhere that mentioned that if the standard 6 button radio is fitted, it contains a different dashboard harness?

Any idea what the part number for the correct bluetooth harness is?

bluetooth module where it stays, below the glove box.

The head unit probably need to change to, it need to have 2 connectores, see pic above.

And also you need to find the loom for the microphone, that goes from the A pilar to ceiling light.

You have usb port in central console?

This links are examples just to give you a ideia.

My current radio with the standard 3 line display:

Current radio has USB and line in connected to it. I understood that those will move to the bluetooth module.

As far as I know it doesn't have sync and there's no bluetooth module installed.

Correct, that usb loom needs to be remove from car, the "new" usb connect direct to bluetooth.

You need a head unit too, the Sony may be the way to go.

Lcd i dont know if you can change, maybe someone with that version can help you.

And then Forscan to activate.

Received the new radio and built it in.

Also found the original connector for the bluetooth module. Currently only the aux signal goes through it and still works. Ordered the bluetooth loom for this car which plugs into the same connector: BA6T-14C575-BBC and the bluetooth module: CS7T-14D212-AC

Since this radio has a secondary connector for the bluetooth module, am I correct in assuming it won't be able to make the connection via the builtin 24pin connector? If so, does someone have a pin-out for the 10 pin connector and the 26 pin connector on the back of the radio?

I’m looking at the same. So you found the connectors for the Bluetooth module ?

Depends on your car, is it with sync or without?

Here are the connector diagrams that I could find on the net for a sync version.

@Whidds pretty sure you need parts from a pre-facelft car since yours is a 2011, could be wrong
