1.5 tdci fuel filter inlet pipe removal

I’ve tried to replace the fuel filter paper element but for the life of me I cannot get the inlet pipe off the housing. I’ve released the white plastic clip on top and you would think the pipe would just pull out but alas no. I’ve included a photo below with release tab pulled up. I’ve then squeezed the clip on both sides (marked A) on the picture and at the same time I’ve pulled and/or pushed the fuel pipe (B) but it doesn’t release.

Can anyone let me know where I’m going wrong? Thanks

Issue solved. Lift up the centre piece as in the photo and then push down on both sides of the white clip, the pipe can then be pulled out.
